Hey there, I don’t remember the last time I introduced myself but it seems fitting to do so now with the new year and new month!
My name is Morgan Oliver, I’m 31 and have been a LMT for (almost, technically in August) 8 years! Many of you know, and I’m not afraid to share, I have an almost 3 year old daughter and fur baby as well that are my world.
I am born and raised here in mason city, and graduated MCHS back in ‘12. It took me a while to figure out what my true calling was but I always had a job in caring for others in on way shape or form. I thought I wanted to pursue teaching and realized that was not the route. I changed to counseling, but sadly that also didn’t work. Ironically, I now get the best of both worlds 🤭.
Fun fact, I had only ever had one massage before I even looked into the LMT program at La’James and I didn’t think it was all that great. Along the way my amazing friend, inspired me to look into the program, my sanity and body needed the change up from Francis Lauer. So after the tour I was hooked (because who wouldn’t want a massage every day), and even though I absolutely failed anatomy in high school it had to have been better now that I was older.
Along blossomed new found passion for helping others. I officially graduated in ‘18, and started working under a chiropractor in Clear lake. I had worked for him for 2.5/3 years, and blossomed my small business along the way. I had the best mentor, who truly helped shape me into the therapist i am today. I’ve continued to love what I do, and crave to learn all things massage modalities, anatomy, and business.
My favorite work is treatment style, but I always accommodate to the client. If they want relaxation/ spa setting that’s what they will get. Have chronic problems, let’s figure out a treatment style and plan to get you feeling better. I always adjust the pressure to the clients liking, whether it be light touch due to medical sensitivities or going into deep tissue massage mode for those that need it.
I’m certified in cupping, infant and adolescent massage, sports massage and can accommodate for pre-natals. I have some classes coming up that’ll continue to broaden my practice.
My massage room is a place I want everyone to feel safe and welcome. I take pride in receiving, “Place for Massage” by Readers choice award, it’s the one place for you to relax, unwind and have peace.
