As society's use of artificial intelligence increases, we are starting to see its potential impact. Here is a recent study completed by MIT on critical thinking. This seems to parallel social media use and increase in depression and anxiety.

While the study has some limitations and results are preliminary, not officially peer-reviewed, it is something to think of moving forward for mental health and the impact of seeking immediate results. Here is a link to the MIT media site for reference:

The limbic system is a group of brain structures tucked deep in your brain that helps manage things like emotions, behavior, motivation, memory, and even automatic body functions like your heart rate and temperature. It's often called the emotional nervous system because it links how you feel with how your body reacts—like enjoying your favorite food or feeling your heart race when you're stressed. It also works with your sense of smell, which is why certain scents can bring back strong memories. To keep your limbic system in good shape, take care of your body and mind with healthy food, regular movement, stress relief, social time, and mental health support when needed.
