There is an emerging worldwide illness, Coronovirus (COVID-19), that has made its way to the United States and to Iowa.

03/17/2020

Turing Leaf is still operating normal bussiness hours. Most clinicians are still seeing patients. If you want to arrange telehealth counseling call our main line.

03/17/2020

As we prepare for the possibility of COVID-19 infections in the North Iowa Area, we will be offering telehealth appointments (via electronic media) instead of in-person appointments as needed. This step will allow us to still see our patients for counseling and medication management. Some insurances cover telehealth and some do not. You will need to contact our office to see if your insurance will cover the service. Some insurance companies are making changes daily to allow telehealth, so we are trying to keep up on the changes. If insurance does not cover the service, we will be offering a low private rate to cover the telehealth sessions. The office will remain open for calls and appointments. In office appointments are still available by most clinicians. If you are not feeling well please call and cancel appointment. Please call our office for more information. 641-421-2089

COVID-19 Response
Our highest priorities are the health and safety of our staff, our patients, and the well-being of the communities we serve. Like many businesses, we are taking precautionary measures in response to COVID-19 (2019 novel coronavirus). Our Plan follows guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local public health authorities in the areas we serve. Unlike the common flu, there are enough unknowns that caution is warranted.

While not a comprehensive list, our steps include:

1. Increased cleaning and sanitization efforts in our public and private locations while reinforcing healthy habits for our staff.

2. Supporting our patients and employees that are at-risk or have special needs.

3. Increased staff and customer communication and education.

4. Encouraging everyone to wash hands regularly and limit unnecessary contact with each other especially for those who exhibit symptoms, have been exposed to the illness or are high risk for severe symptoms related to the illness.

It's Borderline Personality Awareness Month – and many don't understand what living with borderline personality disorder (BPD) is actually like. Use this graphic to help a loved one understand the nine diagnostic criteria of BPD, and let us know which resonate with you. BPD affects everyone differently – and we can't have awareness without understanding.
