I am excited to announce I am expanding Cura Massage! I have added another massage room and an amazingly talented massage therapist to the team! Marian has been a licensed massage therapist since 2007, has extensive experience in both spa and medical massage environments, and I am thrilled to have her. She also graduated from S.H.I. Medical Massage school and we share the same philosophies when it comes to massage. And now we are able to offer couples massage sessions!

After watching the Governor’s press conference today, it is still unclear when I am permitted to reopen. Massage Therapy practices have been categorized with salons and beauty services this entire time, until today. It’s been frustrating for us because Massage Therapy in Ohio is regulated by the Ohio Medical Board. So today, when the Governor made the announcement that personal services like hair, nails, and spa services could resume on 5/15, I assumed that included Massage Therapy. But, the Lt. Governor later said massage office reopenings will be handled by the Medical Board. I am waiting on clarification from the Governor’s office and/or the Medical Board before I’m able to schedule any clients. I’ve checked and they are still working on guidelines and a decision. As of now I do not have a date to reopen.

I appreciate everyone’s support and patience here.

When I do reopen, things will look a bit different procedure and scheduling-wise but I will make an announcement on that as soon as I’ve nailed everything down. But rest assured, I want to do this as safely as possible to protect both you and I, as well as our families.
