“OH MY GOD IS THAT NORMAL?” 😋 we get this question a lot when people bruise. Unfortunately bruises do happen occasionally and unfortunately acupuncture bruises can get dark and ugly (but not painful, which is good!). While it doesn’t happen often, if you are someone who bruises easily, has low iron (like me!), on blood thinners or on the paler side it can happen. Don’t worry, it’s totally normal! A little heat, massage and arnica cream will have it healing in no time. While the goal is never to bruise anyone, if it does happen there’s no need to panic ✨

I take no credit for this but I love it. Don’t forget to fill up your battery before draining yourself to help others. Make sure you are eating right, sleeping, and getting acupuncture regularly to keep your battery at 100%!

With all the stress in the world it’s important to remember the things we can and cannot control. For example, we can control how often we come in for acupuncture for stress relief 🙃

The more you know 💫

But on a serious note, there are times when people will come in the office saying they’ve had acupuncture before, and it didn’t work. I’m not knocking any other profession as I believe every profession is extremely important. I will say many times other professions are not taught in depth the Acupuncture protocols and reasons behind what we do as Acupuncturists. I’m sure there are some that have had the proper training, but I can’t vouch for all. I always recommend when searching for an acupuncturist to go to someone who is licensed. I would not feel confident to start giving someone spinal adjustments if I had 200 hours of training. I believe each profession should work together to ensure the best care of our patients ✨
