A very valid question! In Chinese medicine, there are a lot of distal points that help with other areas of the body. While we will sometimes put needles in your head for headaches, a lot of times we put them in your feet. We find that this way it helps to ground the energy or sometimes we are using it to balance certain organ systems. I know it might seem crazy, but it really works! If you ever have any questions, please feel free to ask us. We are happy to explain everything to you as we do it!

Gua Sha is a traditional East Asian healing technique that involves scraping the skin with a smooth edged tool to improve circulation and promote healing. It’s very popular today for facial use because it helps with lifting, sculpting, and reducing puffiness in the face. People state when they use it every day for about a month they start to notice the shape of their face can change and their puffiness is reduced. Many people use this instead of doing things like facelifts and Botox. Have you tried Gua Sha? 🧖‍♀️

Yes…and no! In some cases there will be several treatments where you have the same points but we do try to tweak it a little each treatment based on your body! We look into how you’re feeling after your treatment to see if changes need to be made. In some cases we might have to try a completely different protocol. Keep in mind many acupuncture points are close together, so sometimes if feels like you’re getting the same points but they’re really helping in a completely different way ✨
