On October 23, one of our Nurse Practitioners, Holly Dawson, attended the Ohio Nurse Practitioner Statewide Conference and participated in a hands-on workshop on joint injections. The photo was taken during the session and shows her practicing one of the techniques.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women worldwide.
Our 3 Lifecare locations honored Breast Cancer Month by designing and displaying creative and informative bulletin boards for our patients to read.

The 2025 NAMI walk was held on 10-4-2025. Representing our BH department and Lifecare as a whole were: Tomika, Alena, Emily, Suonna, Rosie, and a few of our family members who have become honorary members of the Lifecare team at multiple community events. There were a total of 46 teams and 193 participants who, together, raised a total of $11,608 in funds that will be used to support local mental health programs, spread awareness, and fight the stigma surrounding mental illness. We are thrilled that we were able to participate in this event and represent Lifecare in building community, encouraging open conversations, and helping people feel less alone in their struggles with mental health conditions.

National PA Week in 2025 is celebrated from Monday, October 6 to Sunday, October 12. This annual event honors the vital contributions of Physician Assistants (PAs) in the healthcare system, promotes awareness of the profession, and recognizes their commitment to patient care.

🦷 October is National Dental Hygiene Month! 🦷

This month, we celebrate the importance of oral health and its vital connection to overall well-being. Good oral health is essential for everyone—nearly half of adults over age 30 have gum disease, which can increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and pregnancy complications.

Across Ohio, Community Health Centers provide preventive dental care that helps patients catch issues early, lower costs, and maintain healthy smiles for life. 😁🪥
