During labor, if we begin to focus on our fears it can cause us to tense up, which can actually slow down labor and take our birth in a different direction.

Whereas when we focus on relaxing deeper, and connecting with God, our body is able to work as it’s miraculously designed to, producing more oxytocin and endorphins, making labor more efficient and more comfortable. When we experience oxytocin peaks, labor can even be blissful.

If you feel those fears come up during labor, remember you can put on the Christian Hypnobirthing tracks, or worship music, or get your birth partner to read out the scriptures and affirmations from our affirmation cards while doing some light touch massage.
