Checking in from Maternity Leave! Enjoying those sweet newborn moments with a rapidly growing baby. Missing everyone and looking forward to seeing patients again in July! Current plan is to resume normal appointment availability on Tuesday, July 9th.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I will be taking my maternity leave in April and will most likely be away until beginning-mid July!

Due to current patient load, my availability, as well as the time I have left before I'll be going on leave, I will NOT be accepting any more new patients until I return from my leave! Established patients will still be seen though through March :)

Hope to see many of you soon before I go! And looking forward to meeting new faces when I return in July!

Had some chronic pain no amount of ignoring was going away... And had some extra time today so decided to FINALLY fix it! Any guesses on what I am dealing with? (Hint, it's *not* a knee problem despite the location of the needles!)
Tennis elbow! I gave myself tendonitis from scrubbing my tub at home over a month ago - the pain and limited ROM is affecting my daily life! Unfortunately, it's on my treating arm so needling locally was very difficult (I attempted!).

Times like this the Balance Method is clutch!

What a great explanation of cupping ❤️

Cupping 101
Does it hurt? - No*
Does it cause damage?- No*
Does it work? - Yes* *if properly applied
HOW does it work? - The suction from cupping makes the immune system release histamine, that dialates capillaries. Then, suction pulls plasma and red blood cells into the tissues and up through the layers and the lymphatic system towards the surface. Though no damage occurs, the immune system views this blood in the tissues as damage and goes to work on growth/repair/draining the area. It accelerates healing like nothing I have seen. The peteccia(dotty bruises as blood comes up through the lymphatic system) should disappear within a week.
In healthy tissue, many times the area will not show color for more than a few minutes.
Bottom line?- it works.
