I found this in my Grandmother's recipe box, written in her own hand on a recipe card. She passed away more than 40 years ago. She was a very loving and supportive presence in my life. I was one of only two grandchildren she had, and my brother passed away before she did. I'm sure losing her grandson, and some of the choices and struggles I went through in my teens and 20s gave her angst. I wonder if she tucked this card away, hoping I'd find it someday when I had become a grandmother.

A GRANDMOTHER'S REQUEST:
Lord, give me youth so I may understand the young,
May I listen to their thoughts and not their foreign tongue.
Let wisdom bridge the years that lie between us at the start,
So that my mind can help the blundering efforts of my heart.
May I have more patience please,; help me accept the change
Each time their style of dress and music seems more strange.
Make me more diplomatic; I would not offend.
The voice of experience should have the ring of a friend.
And then she added: (You have heard these words before–at least one time I know: When I heard my grandmother pray so long ago.)

I'll be Georgia-bound before the end of the month to begin a new phase in my life. I'm excited! Hoping to re-connect with GA friends who are still in the area, make new friends, and have new experiences - NORTH Georgia, close to the mountains ( yeah, I know, they look like little hills after Colorado, but they have their allure and charm, as do the towns.)

Here's an update on my course creation project. See the image below?
I was challenged by a friend who encouraged me to "think bigger" - so the first version of this course will go on Udemy. A second, more comprehensive version will be a part of a bigger project with multiple courses.
Another friend gave me the input that many people just can't or are not comfortable starting with a mantra-based meditation - so after considering that input, I have added a module to include other types of meditation ... .. and I decided to add some guided meditation. :-)

Right now, the presentation slides have been created and I just need to record the classes and get them, along with the handouts, workbook, and audios of the guided meditations uploaded.

So ... it's turned out to be a bigger project than I first anticipated. I decided it is more important to add value than to just finish it quickly ... (although one of my more recent reminders is, "done is better than perfect" - once the beta version is released, it can always be improved!)

So here's the mock-up for the Meditation Course. The Wisdom of Ayurveda will be the next course, I have most of it outlined and the presentation slides are done. Stay tuned!!

I'm honestly really enjoying doing all of this!!! Even though what I thought I could do in 2 weeks is taking 2 months!

It's been one of THOSE days ... As I am moving forward to create a better business plan and technical strategy to support it ... it seems it all must come apart before it can come together.
Today I spent hours manually configuring DNS settings MX files (I lost my email for a few hours), on tech support (thank goodness for good GoDaddy tech support!) ... and finally just realizing I was making some changes so fast that I needed the new technology to crawl, find, and catch up to the changes ...
.. and I had a bad hair day - LOL! (Can anybody give me advice on toners? ... two attempts ... FAILED ... not the result I was looking for!)

I think I'm just gonna chill for the rest of the day, and hope that tomorrow when I wake up, all my DNS/Website/email will be in order so I can create something new!

All day long I kept reminding myself ... the more that I try and move forward, even if it isn't perfect yet ... maybe every failure is a step forward to the final outcome I really want!

I've been told before that I don't share enough about my passions or the things I do. Deepak Chopra has now joined the IIN (Institute for Integrative Nutrition) as their Chief Wellness Officer. As a result, all my previous certifications have been updated. This is PERFECT timing! My online courses on meditation, ayurveda, yoga philosophy, and more are in the works!
