Booker is Home

With the boys being homeschooled now, Booker doesn’t get to leave the house everyday to go to school like he was before. So today he was living his best life playing in the sand, chasing leaves and sticks, on our field trip to Warren Dunes State Park. He may have even purposely pounced and done a face dive into the sand🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 I think his face says it all in the picture of them when we got to the top of the dune.

I know I don’t post nearly enough anymore- I try to limit the amount of time I spend on social media, but here are some pictures to hold you over until next time😉 he’s such a blessing to our family, and he is still amazing at his job- and when he’s not working (when his boy stays with a friend and he can’t go), he enjoys long naps on the couch with his other best friend, our golden doodle.

Happy 3rd birthday Booker! And Happy 7th Diaversary Brax! 7 years of highs and lows, of facing hard things that no kid should have to face. But you’ve proven just how tough you are. We are so proud of you 💙

Booker was thrilled to go on vacation. No vest needed in the middle of no where. Just enjoying some time with his boy and the rest of his family. He was overjoyed to find all the pinecones (his favorite thing besides Braxton) when we hiked Aubrey Falls. Something he doesn’t get a ton of since leaving Idaho- nothing compares to the giant pinecones in Idaho 😉

Booker always amazes me with his ability to do his job. While Braxton was at lacrosse practice earlier, Booker was home with me. I was in my bedroom, with the windows open and the wind blowing in from the west. The field is about a half a mile from the house if you could go in a straight path from home to the field. Booker all of a sudden got up and started aggressively alerting me and it took me a minute to realize why, and that he could possibly pick up on his scent with the windows open and the wind blowing in the right direction. Sure enough, I check dexcom and he was almost 300!

Thank you to those who reached out. Thankfully he didn’t make it far and made it to our neighbors house and visited with them for a bit. This was our first scare like this, and again we are so thankful for a community who helps us look out for our boys😉🥰
