On March 31, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a voluntary recall of over 3 million bottles of eye drops from K.C. Pharmaceuticals due to a **“lack of assurance of sterility.”** This means there is a risk that some products may be contaminated with bacteria or other harmful microbes.
💧 **Affected products include:**
* Artificial Tears
* Advanced Relief drops
* Redness Lubricant drops
🏪 **These products were widely distributed through major retailers, including:**
* Pharmacies: CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid
* Grocery stores: Kroger, Publix, Harris Teeter, H-E-B, Meijer
* Other retailers: Dollar General, Circle K, and various store brands (Leader, Equaline, etc.)
📅 Many of the recalled products have expiration dates extending into **May or October 2026**.
