There is something timeless about art that slows you down.
Standing in front of this piece, I was reminded how beauty, storytelling, and emotion have always been intertwined. Long before we had modern language for wellness, artists were already exploring connection, tenderness, and human complexity on canvas.
Art invites us to pause. Sometimes that pause is exactly what we need. ✨

Burnout can be subtle at first.
It may show up as:
• Feeling hopeless and exhausted
• Feeling as if you are a failure
• Being more forgetful than usual
• Being less present with clients, colleagues, or family
• Experiencing work as a heavy burden
Many professionals normalize these experiences and assume they just need to “try harder.” In reality, burnout is often the result of chronic stress without adequate recovery.
It is not a character flaw. It is a signal.
If you recognize yourself in this list, consider what needs attention: rest, boundaries, support, reconnection to purpose, or intentional time for restoration.
Awareness is not weakness. It is the beginning of change.

One of my favorite ways to unwind and recharge is cooking with intention 💚
There is something deeply calming about preparing food slowly, chopping, seasoning, and letting flavors come together. It is a reminder that care, patience, and presence matter, whether we are nourishing ourselves or others.
Hope this inspires you to find your own small moments of grounding today.

Many people think mindfulness requires silence, stillness, or “clearing the mind.” It doesn’t.
It simply requires noticing.
If you are new to the practice, try these 6 steps:
• Take a seat
• Set a time limit
• Notice your body
• Feel your body
• Notice when your mind has wandered
• Be kind to your wandering mind
That last step changes everything.
Your mind will wander. That is what minds do. The practice is in returning without judgment.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or stretched thin, this is a gentle place to begin.
Consistency matters more than duration. Even a few minutes a day can create meaningful shifts over time.

Yoga has become one of my most reliable tools for grounding and clarity.
Returning to the breath, moving with intention, and slowing the pace helps regulate stress and supports emotional well being. These practices remind me that care for the mind and body often begins with simple, repeatable rituals.
Sharing this as an invitation to pause and reconnect today.

This garlic and red chili pepper butter is simple, flavorful, and deeply satisfying.
Cooking gives me a chance to slow down, engage my senses, and enjoy the process rather than rush the outcome. These small moments of intention can be surprisingly grounding and restorative.
Sharing this recipe for anyone who enjoys finding calm and creativity in the kitchen.

I tried to share this the other day but I guess it didn't work. So sharing it now. Hisla Bates is an amazing doctor, artist, friend. Awhile back I was a guest on her podcast. I was gearing up for my first Portugal retreat. Now it my second time hosting a retreat at that same incredible place. Casa Fuzetta. So same place - different dates. This time it is March 25-30, 2026. Only a couple spots left. https://silverspaces.org/portugal
Truly an experience worth giving to yourself, because we have one life and we can choose to live it just on the periphery going through the motions or we can live it in its fullness with all its potential, with purpose and intention with playfulness, peace and joy. I say join me for the latter.

Only a few spots left.

Life is unpredictable. It can be filled with joys and sorrows, it can be short or long with twists and turns along the way. Although we cannot control it all we can walk along our journey with intention.

The intention to find the joy and beauty around us, within us -

to take time for ourselves, to be creative, curious and playful -

to find time, to feel free and laugh -

to feel a sense of purpose in what we do and at the same time find the purpose meaningful to us in a way that makes it worthy of our time, our efforts and not just something we do - just because...

To be present in our moments and enjoy life in its fullest, with all its potential.

Journaling can be a simple way to create space for presence and intention.
These prompts invite reflection on how you care for yourself, how you ground your body, and how you move through your days with gentleness and awareness. Even a few minutes can make a meaningful difference.
