Happy Earth Day, Charlotte! 🌎🌿
Did you know that "Eco-Therapy" is a real thing? In a fast-paced city like ours, we often find ourselves disconnected from the very thing that helps us stay grounded: the Earth.
Research shows that spending just 20 minutes in nature, whether it’s a hike at Crowders Mountain or a quiet moment under the willow trees at Freedom Park, can significantly lower cortisol (the stress hormone) and improve mood.
Today, we invite you to celebrate Earth Day by:
🌱 Unplugging: Put the phone away for 30 minutes.
🌱 Rooting: Walk barefoot on the grass (Earthing) to reset your nervous system.
🌱 Observing: Notice the specific shade of green on the trees in your neighborhood.
