๐Ÿ Hello November ๐Ÿ

Throughout the month, weโ€™ll be sharing what weโ€™re grateful for and weโ€™re beginning with the biggest one: OUR COMMUNITY!

We have a community that not only rallies around children, but uses their collective voice to amplify the the voices of hundreds of kids right here. For that, we are thankful! ๐Ÿฆƒ

This holiday season, think before you gift. ๐Ÿค” ๐ŸŽ

Gambling products such as scratch-offs, lottery tickets and Sportsbook Gift Cards are not for kids.

According to the National Council on Problem Gambling, "children who gamble before the age of 12โ€“ including the use of lottery scratch off tickets โ€“ are four times more likely to experience gambling-related harm."

Gambling is not meant for kids. And if gambling is taking away from you or someone you knowโ€™s holiday cheer, help is available. Call 1.800.GAMBLER for 24/7 help or learn more about the help resources in Illinois at AreYouReallyWinning.com.

WHO WE ARE

Sometimes change happens one hour at a time.

Illinois Family Resource Center is a statewide project funded for the purpose of ensuring family involvement and input in all aspects of adolescent and young adult care within the Illinois substance use disorder (SUD's) treatment system. Through the enhancement and dissemination of evidence-based SUD's treatment and recovery support services, adolescents, young adults and their families are provided support in their recovery journey at the practice and program level.

To support family involvement that is focused, goal-driven and productive at the policy level, Illinois Family Resource Center seeks family member's feedback that may be shared through collaborative work with the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery, and the substance use disorder and mental health provider community.

In addition, Illinois Family Resource Center offers this website to provide current research and education to youth, young adults, family members and human service providers regarding issues related to substance use disorders and living a healthy lifestyle. We also offer links to SUD's treatment services throughout Illinois.
