John “Jack” F. Rioux, 89, longtime Mattydale resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Jack and his wife Dorie retired to Fort Myers, Florida, where they embraced sunshine, golf, good friends and more than a few bottomless glasses of wine. Calvin V. Davis

Calvin V. Davis, 68, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026 at Upstate University Hospital. Calvin was a self-employed accountant and a veteran of the US Army. He was predeceased by his parents, Eddie Freeman Davis and Samarity Hicks. Surviving are his foster sisters, Suzanne Yancy of North Syracuse and Eva Cooper of Syracuse. Services were private.
