๐๐พ Halloween Pet Safety Tips from Mauldin Station Vet! ๐พ๐
Spooky season is here โ but let's keep the scares fun, not dangerous for our furry friends! ๐ป๐ถ๐ฑ
Here are a few Halloween safety reminders to keep your pets safe and stress-free:
๐ง No Treats for Pets โ Chocolate, xylitol (found in sugar-free candy), and raisins are toxic to dogs & cats. Keep the goodies out of paw's reach!
๐ญ Costumes? Only If They Love It! โ Not all pets enjoy dressing up. If you do try a costume, make sure it fits properly, doesnโt restrict movement or breathing, and avoid anything with small, chewable parts.
๐ช Keep Them Secure โ With trick-or-treaters constantly at the door, pets may get anxious or bolt. Make sure theyโre in a quiet, safe space โ and that their ID tags or microchips are up to date, just in case.
๐ฏ๏ธ Decor with Care โ Curious noses and wagging tails donโt mix with candles, glow sticks, or electric cords. Opt for pet-safe decorations.
From all of us at Mauldin Station Veterinary Clinic, we wish you and your pets a safe and happy Halloween! ๐๐พ
