Dr. Sarah Schipper, affectionately known by her patients and closest friends as “Dr. Sarah,” is a leading foot and ankle physician who believes that every patient possesses an innate healing potential. As a loving wife, devote mother of three, as well as a sister and Aunt of active military, Dr. Sarah founded Blue Ridge Foot & Ankle in her “backyard” of Upstate South Carolina. Blue Ridge’s founding principal is “patient care and hospitality are one.” Formerly Dr. Sarah Fitzgerald, Dr. Sarah and her colleagues work closely with each patient and their loved ones to deliver the highest level of compassionate care to address patient’s specific issues. Dr. Sarah and her colleagues specialize in the field of surgical and non-surgical podiatric medicine. Non-surgical solutions can provide equally successful long-term results as surgical solutions. When surgery is needed, Dr. Sarah and her colleagues combine leading specialty experience as well as exceptional expertise with the most advanced techniques available. Blue Ridge offers the most advanced foot and ankle treatment resources available to patients of all ages. As a private, non-hospital owned medical practice, Blue Ridge constantly searches for powerful and innovative therapies to heal the whole person to improve quality of life and restore health. Hello Upstate South Carolina!!!

My family and I (“Dr. Sarah Schipper”) opened Blue Ridge Foot & Ankle (“Blue Ridge”) in Mauldin, South Carolina September 2023. My family and I are so incredibly excited for this office as it is a 20+ year dream come true!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a foot and ankle specialist (podiatrist) and have served patients in the Upstate for over 10 years. Blue Ridge is a private, non-hospital owned, medical practice. Being private allows us to offer the most advanced foot and ankle treatment resources available without the bureaucratic red tape of corporate medicine. We constantly search for powerful and innovative therapies to heal the whole person, improve quality of life and restore health.

I have been so lucky to serve patients of all ages. Pediatric foot and ankle care is a passion of mine, and I truly enjoy seeing children’s faces light up when we tackle their issue. Regardless of our patients’ age, each day we look forward to reaching their active lifestyle goals.
