It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on this page but with Thanksgiving being tomorrow, I want to encourage everyone to not let others steal your joy or cause you strife on what should be an enjoyable holiday where we are to remember what we are thankful for. Now we all have those in our lives that sometimes cause us stress and anxiety, or maybe we put that pressure on ourselves? Remember that you are responsible for your words and actions, and it’s on you if you allow others to push your buttons Or take you to that place where you don’t like that person you become in the moment.(we have all been there)

Your dinner table doesn’t have to be picture perfect, the turkey may be dry(put some gravy on it), maybe someone forgot the Mac and cheese(we are in the south), but it will be okay. We need to remember what we are thankful for, not distracted about Black Friday sales. What are you thankful for? Every year we think it can’t get worse, and then it does. But guess what? God is with us, even in our darkest days, saddest times, but also in our blessings, successes, and wins.

I pray you all survive tomorrow whether it is like a Hallmark movie, you have to work, or you are missing someone you love at the dinner table this year. Remember God is with you, He loves you and He sees you…..and that my friends is something to be thankful for!

Hello everyone! I had the blessing of attending the 1st NEXT Gen conference hosted by the AACC in Atlanta this week. As a therapist we often need our cup poured into with worship music, prayer, and sound Christian and clinical teaching to help us help the next generation. The mental health "Disaster" in the world right now affecting the young people is astronomical!! The rise in anxiety, depression, and suicidality in children as young as 8-9 years old is saddening, and it's not all due to Covid. The issues were there before the pandemic. Several take aways.........spend time with a young person, take time to listen, be interested in them and what is important to them, and don't minimize what they may be going through. It is real for them. As a person in the trenches, please pray for us as we walk alongside our clients each week and if you know a therapist, HUG them when you see them. I promise they need it!!!

Just so everyone is aware everyone is fine at the shopping plaza where our office is. This happened this evening during the 5pm hour. A young man hydroplaned during the rain storm and came off Main Street into the plaza. No one was injured that I'm aware of but I'm sure many were shaken up.

Hello my facebook friends and family! I pray everyone had a blessed and peaceful Christmas and will enjoy the same for the New Year!! Chewy has been busy per usual and he was chosen to be part of a low country artist's coffee table book to be published in 2024. Please enjoy the art from Castelo Portrait Art in Charleston, SC. It's stunning! But I am biased!
