It is remarkable that a full year has passed since the enactment of the Lymphedema Treatment Act, a monumental victory for individuals afflicted with Lymphedema. The past year has been a learning experience for all involved, with a focus on navigating the intricacies of coverage, documentation requirements, and Medicare Home Health bundling. In response to the numerous inquiries and requests for further education, we are pleased to announce that Innovative Wound Solutions will be offering interactive educational sessions on Lymphedema pumps and garments. Wound Care centers now have access to authentic Lymphedema garments, while Home Health benefits from superior compression options not bundled under Medicare. Lymphedema Therapists have been leading the way as pioneers in leveraging the Lymphedema Treatment Act to provide affordable garments to patients. This development presents a new opportunity for multidisciplinary teams to collaborate and make a meaningful difference in patient care. Commencing in January, we will host two educational events featuring guest speakers from Lymphedema pump manufacturers and garment manufacturers who will share information on available products. Innovative Wound Solutions will also review and help simplify the documentation requirements.
