My first time doing MOLECULAR HYDROGEN NEBULIZER THERAPY at Breath of Life Spa. (Science & Sources Below)
As someone who takes prescription strength antioxidants daily, I could sense its free radical scavenging effect in just minutes!!! It feels like I took a megadose of rosemary/green tea/grapeseed/turmeric extract!!!
From PubMed and ScienceDirect.com:
Hydrogen nebulizer therapy, or hydrogen inhalation, uses molecular hydrogen gas to act as a therapeutic antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. It is designed to reduce oxidative stress, improve oxygen saturation, and protect tissues, particularly in respiratory diseases like COPD, asthma, and COVID-19, or for neuroprotection, often using a machine to deliver a mixture.
Mechanism: penetrates cells, scavenging toxic free radicals (hydroxyl radicals) and reducing inflammation while regulating oxidative stress.
Administration: Typically administered via a nasal cannula, often with a hydrogen-oxygen machine producing 66%–73% hydrogen and 27%–33% oxygen.
Respiratory Benefits: Studies show it can improve lung function in COPD, alleviate asthma inflammation, and reduce airway mucus barriers.
Clinical Applications: Beyond respiratory issues, it is used for post-cardiac arrest syndrome, acute brain injury, and as an adjunct for pneumonia.
Current Research: It is still considered an adjunctive (supplemental) therapy, not a primary cure, with research ongoing into its full clinical potential
