Storms Don't Last Forever

This little girl has been through so much with me. I really think our souls are connected. She has saved my life so many times and gives me a reason to keep going. I've had a hard year with my mental health this year, and she has been there for me through everything I've faced this year.

I think I'm finally on the right path mental health wise. My mental health isn't perfect, but it's the best it's been in a long time. For the most part. I still struggle sometimes. Last night I really struggled, and she was there for me (along with my fiance.)

Things are finally looking up for me.

Hopefully good days are ahead for everyone

Everybody suffers,
Everybody feels pain,
Everybody has those days,
That feel like their world,
Is on fire.

Everybody feels lost sometimes,
As if they ended up,
In a haunted woods,
With no map and no compass,
And they can't scream. "Help!",
Lest the monsters make their appearance.

Everybody cries,
Everybody bleeds,
Everybody loses somebody.

Heartache can be numbing,
As though you can't feel your own soul.
Or it can be excruciating,
As though someone is forcing down your hand,
On the searing stove.

We grieve over lost family members,
Including the furry ones.
We grieve over lost opportunities,
We grieve over who we were,
Before the sickness started consuming us.

We all grieve.
We all lose.
We all feel pain in our hearts.

We all lose our sight,
And sometimes our minds.

This is all part,
Of being human.

No one leaves this planet,
Unscathed.
We all feel damaged and bruised,
At some point.

Our pain is all different,
But all the same.

Let's take each other's hands,
And hold tight.

And hope the next life,
Hurts less.
