🌿✨ Welcoming Our Reiki Master Apprentices! ✨🌿
We’re thrilled to welcome Marc, Farah and Deb — and celebrate Dany, who is nearing completion — in the Reiki Master Teacher Apprenticeship Program, a journey of growth, energy practice, and mastery in the Usui Reiki tradition.

For over 27 years, this immersive 8-month apprenticeship (with the option to extend up to 12 months) has given dedicated Reiki practitioners the opportunity to learn Reiki in its traditional form — through ongoing mentorship, hands-on guidance, and meaningful practice.
Apprentices receive one-on-one instruction, assist in Reiki certification classes, community Reiki shares, and workshops — including yoga events — while refining their teaching skills and deepening their understanding of Reiki energy.

Our gentle and restorative yoga class tried something new this week — stepping outdoors for the beginning of practice, something most students had never experienced. There was a touch of hesitation at first, but soon we found ourselves exploring Tree Pose and other standing balance variations, like drawing the knee to the chest while staying grounded on one leg. What began with uncertainty unfolded into connection, focus, and joy. 🍂 A reminder that change may feel uncomfortable at first, but leaning into it often brings unexpected strength.

Travel isn’t just a luxury—it’s a powerful form of healing.

I’m leading a wellness retreat in the Caribbean in a few months, and it’s inspired me to reflect on why this kind of experience matters.

We’re not meant to live in constant overdrive. Our bodies and minds need rest, rhythm, and reconnection. Travel—especially when it's intentional—can help us reset on every level.

We live in a world that prizes productivity and speed, but our nervous systems were not designed for constant stimulation and stress. We need intentional pauses. We need sunshine. We need space to breathe.

🌴 The Caribbean offers more than beautiful views—it offers rhythm, warmth, and a natural reminder to slow down.
🧘🏽‍♀️ Yoga and Reiki help regulate the body’s stress response, promote clarity, and open pathways for healing.
🤝 And perhaps most importantly, shared retreat experiences foster community—a reminder that we don’t have to heal alone.

Travel done with intention can reset the body and mind. It reconnects us with nature, with each other, and with the parts of ourselves that get quiet in the noise of daily life.
