We are a family owned business with old fashioned customer service where everyone knows your name. Our patients are provided with the best service possible, along with offering quality products, at reasonable prices. Every effort is made to provide assistance and answer questions. Communication is the foundation for the quality care and services we provide to all of our patients. We are founded in old fashioned customer service but with sustainability in mind we focus on tomorrow. Okie's proudly dispenses medication in a recyclable vial that may be recycled at any plastic recycling center. We also complete the cycle by offering a green medication disposal system and free medication history reports on 100% post consumer paper.

💛 know the facts.

While even healthy children and adults get severe influenza or die from influenza and its complications, the risk of severe influenza is higher for children younger than 5 years, adults 50 years and older, pregnant people, Alaska Natives and American Indians, and residents of nursing homes or other long-term care facilities. Medical conditions that increase a person’s risk of severe influenza include chronic pulmonary (including asthma), cardiovascular (excluding isolated hypertension), renal, hepatic, neurologic, hematologic, or metabolic disorders (including diabetes mellitus); immunocompromising conditions due to any cause (including, but not limited to, immune suppression caused by medications or HIV); extreme obesity (body mass index of 40 or greater for adults); and the chronic use of aspirin- or salicylate-containing medications in children through age 18 (due to the risk of Reye syndrome after influenza infection).

More information about risk factors for severe influenza infection can be found at: www.cdc.gov/flu/highrisk/index.htm.

Yes. Infants born less than 14 days after the mother received RSV vaccine should receive nirsevimab (Beyfortus, Sanofi) or clesrovimab (Enflonsia, Merck). Infants born within 14 days after maternal vaccination may not have had sufficient time in utero to receive adequate protection from maternal RSV antibodies produced after vaccination. Infants born 14 days or more after maternal vaccination are not recommended to receive an RSV preventive antibody product except in rare circumstances where maternal antibodies may be insufficiently effective.

You’ll find this answer, as well as other RSV immunization Q&As, here: www.immunize.org/ask-experts/topic/rsv.

See this separate question for details on those circumstances: When might an infant entering the first RSV season need an RSV preventive antibody product even though the mother was properly vaccinated more than 14 days before delivery?

Due to the federal government shutdown, benefits for the Supplemental Nutrition Program (SNAP) will not be delivered on schedule for November 2025. This means TDHS cannot distribute November SNAP benefits to customers.
Updates on this situation are ongoing. As we have more information, we will share updates on our website and socials. Here are some details Tennesseans should know:

➕October benefits for SNAP were delivered. If you are a current SNAP recipient and have benefits on your EBT card, you can still use these benefits. When using benefits, remember: new benefits will not be delivered until the federal shutdown ends or Congress reaches a new agreement.

➕TDHS will continue to accept and process new SNAP applications, but new benefits will not be delivered until the shutdown ends or Congress reaches an agreement.

🔗There are many unknowns. As TDHS receives new information, we will share the latest details on our website at https://www.tn.gov/humanservices/federal-shutdown.html.

🔗Our Online Resource Library has links to help Tennesseans find food and other basic necessities. To locate resources in your area, visit:
https://www.tn.gov/humanservices/information-and-resources/tdhs-resource-library.html.

TDHS is here to strengthen Tennesseans. We recognize this is a serious issue for many working families and Tennesseans who depend on nutrition assistance to be well, feed their children, excel at their job, or focus on building skills and education to move forward.
