It is with sincere gratitude and a heavy heart that I announce that Dragonfly Counseling Services will be closing its group practice. We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to have served our community and to have been part of your individual and collective growth over the years.
I plan to continue to offer virtual therapy services for clients who wish to continue care remotely. I understand that this transition may come as a surprise, and sincerely apologize for the abrupt nature of this change. Sometimes life presents excedingly difficult challenges and the ability to know when it is necessary to take a step back in order to best care for ourselves and our community, no matter how difficult, becomes priority. Please know that the Dragonfly team and I have been working diligently behind the scenes to ensure this process is handled as smoothly as possible for everyone involved.
Continuity of care remains our top priority. We are providing referrals, options for transitioning care, and resources to support all clients in maintaining consistent, quality care during this transition.
Jenn will be continuing to provide in-person and virtual couseling services at a new location which she will provide details about to her clients and the community as they are finalized. Due to the supervision requirements in the state of Kentucky, Kaylee will be moving into a different role and will be working with her current clients on referrals and transitions during this time. Current clients of Jenn and Kaylee should have received coorespondence in their secure messaging portal with specific provider information.
Our partner, Lauren Kirk, APRN with AYA Mental Health will continue serving patients in our current office space until the end of the year. At that time she will be relocating to a private office space downtown. AYA Mental Health has always been it's own private practice that shared space with us, so this change will not interrupt care or require any changes regarding the care that she is providing to her current and future clients. She is currently accepting new clients ages six and up for both therapy and medication management, visit www.ayamh.com for more information about scheduling with her.
I am struggling with the words to accurately express my gratitude to the community of Maysville and the surrounding areas for their ongoing trust and support. Thank you for allowing myself and all of us at Dragonfly to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing. I am continually inspired by each of you and wish you the very best.
With gratitude and sincere appreciation,
Shaina Theis, LCSW-S, owner of Dragonfly Counseling Services
