It’s First Friday Float Day and today’s flavor was a classic favorite—Root Beer!
Residents gathered to enjoy delicious root beer floats, great conversation, and plenty of laughs while playing a lively game of Apples to Apples. It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend with sweet treats, friendly competition, and time spent together.

Moments like these remind us that it’s the simple joys—good company, a fun game, and a tasty float—that make the day extra special.

We had an amazing FULL HOUSE for Family Bingo this afternoon, with 19 residents in attendance and 21 family members joining us today for fun. What a great time we all had earning Bingo points to use at next month’s store and instant gratification with snacks for those who won!

We celebrated our February birthdays in a brand-new way and what a hit it was! Instead of our traditional party, we brought in live entertainment to make the party extra special. Gary had the room filled with music & smiles! Residents sang along to their favorite tunes, shared sweet treats, and truly felt the joy of being celebrated.

Meeting individual activity needs and preferences is an important part of the Life Enrichment programs offered at Fisher. By providing one on one visits as well as small sensory groups we are able to focus on those who may engage more easily in smaller groups or might feel overstimulated in a large group program. Giving sensory touch/ hand massage with scented lotions, visually appealing videos, taste, scents, & hands on sensory experiences are all part of successful activities & participation with those residents.

Who says Saturdays are for relaxing? We were busy getting crafty! Our residents had a wonderful time creating, chatting, and showing off their artistic talents. Crafting helps maintain hand strength and coordination, stimulates the mind, and provides a wonderful sense of accomplishment. Nothing beats the smiles that come from making something with your own two hands!
