Reba Joyce (Harman) Pearson, 90, of McAlester, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Greenwood, Arkansas.

Viewing will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Bishop Chapel of Memories, officiated by Rev. Heather Beard. Cremation will follow.

Joyce was born on January 21, 1936, in Tipton, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Ethel (Courtney) Harman. She was raised in Hagerman, New Mexico.

She married Guy Pearson on October 5, 1952, in Roswell, New Mexico. They shared 64 years of marriage before his passing in 2016.

Joyce was a hardworking woman who held various positions throughout her life. She worked at Ideal Food Store in Pampa, Texas, as a seamstress for Elsings, and served as a shop steward for Humpty-Dumpty Grocery Store in McAlester. She also worked for a time with Norma Stokes at her dress shop in McAlester.

Known for her kind and gentle spirit, Joyce deeply loved her family and friends. She was an excellent cook, and no one ever left her home hungry. She also had a special place in her heart for animals and was known for feeding the neighborhood cats.
In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed sewing and visiting casinos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel Harman; her husband, Guy Pearson; her grandson, Jared Pearson; and eleven siblings.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Mike Pearson and wife Teresa of McAlester, and Larry Pearson and wife Misty of Greenwood, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Heather Beard and husband Chris, Audra Klink and husband Jeremy, Megan Pearson, Jeff Pearson and wife Ashley, Chelsie Onderdonck and fiancé Lance Parent, and Cassidy McCurdy; her great-grandchildren, Alexia Pearson, Katelyn Pearson, Corwyn Beard, Maryn Beard, Allasyn Beard, Ella Klink, Logan Onderdonck, Lillyanna Parent, Devyn Veal and partner Melody Oswald, Dylan Veal, Brendle McCurdy, Addy Pearson, and Easton Pearson; her great-great-grandchild, Annabelle Oswald; her brother, Charles Harman; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Sharon Ann Perry, 79, of Scipio, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Bishop Chapel of Memories in McAlester, Oklahoma, with Pastor Fred Morrison officiating. Interment will follow at Tannehill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Lawson, Timmy Lawson, Jacob Petty, John Tyler Perry, Tommy Petty, Kristopher Perry, Aaron Petty, Luke Reed, David Perry, Wyle Box.

Honorary pallbearers will be the great-grandsons.

Sharon was born on September 21, 1946, in Madera, California, to Robert Ivan and Eloise (Clifton) Kelley. During her youth, she moved from Kansas City to Indianola, Oklahoma, where she completed her education, graduating from Indianola High School in 1964. On January 3, 1964, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, William M. Perry, in McAlester, Oklahoma, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned many years.

A hardworking and talented woman, Sharon attended Okmulgee Tech, where she studied upholstery. She dedicated part of her career to working at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. She operated an upholstery business for over a decade, where her craftsmanship and attention to detail were well known.
Sharon found joy in life’s simple pleasures—sewing, listening to music, and attending bluegrass festivals. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She was a faithful member of Indianola First Baptist Church, where her faith and kindness touched many lives. Her warm spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Perry of the home; daughters, Susan Lawson and husband, Steve, Sheila Petty and husband, Wesley, Sarah Reed and husband, Larry, and Shari Gray and husband, Johnny; sons, William Michael Perry and wife, Laura, and John Perry and wife, Ammy; grandchildren, Kimberly Hendrix and husband, Michael, John Lawson and wife, Tabitha, Timothy Lawson and wife, Whitney, Kendra Anderson, Kristopher Perry and wife, Molly, Jacob Petty and wife, Brittany, Tommy Petty and wife, Stephanie, Aaron Petty, John Tyler Perry and wife, Meg, Kristen Cook and husband, Noah, David Perry, Emily Reed, Luke Reed, Ruthie Reed, Melanie Box, Bethany Box, and Wyle Box; great-grandchildren, Haily Whitlock, Navien Corlin, Alexander Whitlock, Luke Hendrix, Lane Hendrix, Braxley Lawson, Josiah Lawson, Alice Lawson, Maddix Lucero, Blakley Lawson, Gracyn Lawson, Wrenley Lawson, Iris Perry, Violet Perry, Lane Petty, August Perry, Maia Cook, Eden Cook, and Jodie Cook; sisters, Connie Webb and husband, Pat, and Janet Dawes and husband, Donnie; brothers-in-law, Eugene Perry and wife, Linda, Jerry Perry and wife, Barbara; sisters-in-law, Mary Hyde and husband, Stanley, Diane Jernigen and husband, Ralph; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Sammie Priscilla (Toole) Johnson, 74, of McAlester, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, at her home.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory of McAlester. In accordance with Sammie’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Sammie was born February 3, 1952, in McAlester to Joseph and Velma Hannah (Lowry) Toole. She graduated from McAlester High School in 1970 and continued her education at Eastern Oklahoma State College and the University of Central Oklahoma.

She married Don Johnson, and together they shared many years and memories. Sammie worked at Beales Shoe Store and later in the shoe department at JCPenney. She went on to serve for ten years with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary, working in Canteen and Property. She later worked at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant as an inspector and warehouse worker until her retirement.

Sammie had a creative spirit and enjoyed arts and crafts. She also had a unique fondness for firework sparklers, which reflected her bright and spirited personality.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Toole; mother, Velma Toole; her daughter, Mandy Johnson in 2016; her children’s father, Don Johnson; brothers, Van Toole and Jack Toole; and her sister, Sue Walker; father-in-law, James Johnson and mother-in-law, Oouida “Woody” Johnson.

Sammie is survived by her daughter, Marketta Johnson of the home; brothers, Joe Toole and John Toole; sister, Sonja Bolding; brother-in-law, Joe Pat Johnson and wife Sherri; her dear friend, Jan Harrington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Sammie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who
knew her.

Judy Roceal Harris, 83, of McAlester, Oklahoma, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2026.

Judy was born on September 6, 1942, and lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and devotion to God. A faithful member of Pathway to Truth Church in Krebs, Oklahoma, Judy’s love for the Lord was evident in both her words and actions throughout her life.

She was joyfully welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Reverend Leonard and Ruby Harris; her sister and brother-in-law, Reverend Modell Boen and Reverend James Boen; and her brother and sister-in-law, Reverend Sonny Harris and Charlene. What a glorious reunion it must have been this morning at 5:32 a.m.!

She is survived by her two daughters, Lana McPherson and Jo Long and husband Bob Alberding; her grandchildren: Matthew Dugan and wife Angiris, Tony Dugan, Ryan Byington and wife Amy, and Alyshia Byington; 8 great-grandchildren: Justin Dugan, Petty Officer 2nd Class (PO2), USN and wife Marissa, Brenden Dugan and partner Rayan Cleveland, Maddilynn Byington, McKenzie Byington, McKenna Dugan, Merrick Dugan, Logan Byington and Becca Dugan and 3 great-great-grandchildren: Naomi Dugan, Elaine Dugan, Baby Dugan on the way! A host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

As owner/operator of Hunts Beauty Shop in McAlester, Judy met some life-long friends in the early 70’s. Judy then worked and retired from AT&T after 20+ years of dedicated service. She later spent 25 years working full-time for Halcon Transportation as a limousine driver, transporting conductors and engineers for Union Pacific Railroad. She remained devoted to her work at 40 hours per week until recently when she became ill with pneumonia.

Anointed by God, Judy was a gifted piano player her entire life, Judy began playing at just three years old. She had a deep love for gospel music and faithfully played throughout her life, using her talent to honor God and bring joy and comfort to others.

Judy was known for her strong and spirited personality—funny, ornery, and never afraid to speak her mind. She stood firm in her beliefs and was never shy about sharing her opinions. But above all, she loved deeply and would do anything for her two daughters.
Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she loved them with all her heart. Her legacy of faith, strength, and love will live on through the many lives she touched.

A memorial service celebrating Judy’s life and her homecoming will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 27, 2026, at Pathway to Truth Church, located at 324 SE Monroe in Krebs, Oklahoma. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and join in honoring her life and legacy.

A private graveside service for the family will be held at a later date at Memory Gardens in McAlester.

The service will be officiated by her nephew, Rev. James (Jim) Harris and Rev. Rodney Mattox. Musical tributes will be provided by her niece, Carol Dugan, on piano, and her nephew, Chris Harris, who will lead in guitar and worship.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Chris Harris, Jeremy “Bubba” Harris, Colton Harris, Trae Harris, Kevin Hardcastle, Daithan Johnson, A.W. Brown, Brian Dugan, Carlton Griffis, Thomas Hunter and Zachary Pennington.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

Linda Fay (Wingo) Goatcher was born on September 20, 1940 in Woodward, OK to Darwin and Lucille (Long)Wingo. She passed from this life on March 20, 2026 at the age of 85 years and 6 months.

Linda grew up on her parent's farm west of Fort Supply, OK. She was the oldest of eight children. She went to the Fort Supply Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1958.

On April 27, 1958 Linda was united in marriage to Ted Harvey. Two children were born to this union, Leslin Diane (Harvey) Swinford and Timothy David Harvey.

In 1979 Linda married Floyd Goatcher. 1990 they moved to McAlester, Oklahoma, living near Lake Eufaula, where they enjoyed boating and fishing with their grandchildren
Linda moved to Peachtree Village Assisted Living, at Fort Smith, Arkansas in late 2024. Where she passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026.

Linda is survived by her children Leslin and Mark Swinford of Gage, OK, Tim and Milda Harvey of Mulberry, AR. Grandchildren Jared Swinford of Gage, OK, Travis and Claudia Harvey of Royce City, TX, Sarah and Bernie Minjares of Alva, OK. Great-grandchildren, Jacob, Zach, Braxton, and Jackson Harvey. James Homer Nolan, Sr., 81, of McAlester, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by the love of his family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2026, at North Side Assembly of God Church, officiated by Rev. Brian Smith. Burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Nolan, Michael Nolan, Kevin Lowery, Andrew Garcia, Trenton Nolan, and James Dankof.

Honorary pallbearers include Daniel Nolan, Alfredo Nolan, Ray Brown, Bryndan Dugger, Tanner Dugger, and Carmen Nolan.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to North Side Assembly of God Church.

James was born on November 4, 1944, in Brewton, Alabama, to Willie Acey and Mamie Lee (Gillman) Nolan. He was raised in Alabama and Florida, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family.

On July 7, 1972, James married the love of his life, Teresa Thompson, in Mobile, Alabama. Together they built a life rooted in love and devotion, living in Arkansas before making McAlester, Oklahoma their home in 1993.

James worked as a painter for a manufacturing company until his retirement in 1995. He took pride in his work and carried that same dedication into every aspect of his life.

He found great joy in the outdoors, whether fishing or tending to his yard. Above all, James cherished time spent with his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were truly his pride and joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness. James had a special place in his heart for his pet dogs, especially his beloved companion, “Taco.”

James was a faithful member of North Side Assembly of God Church, where his presence and fellowship will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Teresa Nolan of the home; his sons, James Nolan, Jr. and wife Sanjuana, and Michael Nolan and wife Jennifer; his daughters, Kathy Garcia and husband Antonio, and Patricia Dankof and husband James; his grandchildren, Daniel Nolan, Alfredo Nolan, Kevin Lowery and wife Leah, Andrew Garcia and wife Blair, Gloria DuBroc and husband Tyson, Jennifer Cloud and husband Delton, Ray Brown, Bryndan Dugger and wife Star, Tanner Dugger, Trenton Nolan, Carmen Nolan, and Dede Nolan; his great-grandchildren, Raider Garcia, Hadleigh Lowery, Karson Garcia, Gannon Lowery, Taelynn DuBroc, Blakelynn Cloud, Re*****on Dugger, and Addison DuBroc; his sister, Myrtle Brigan; his brother, Rannie Nolan; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
