Learning never stops at Milestones.
Some of our incredible team members spent the weekend in an NDT-informed workshop with pediatric specialist Colleen Carey called Babies and Beyond: Facilitating Function with Strategies that Grow.
The focus of the training was helping babies and young children build the foundation for movement, posture, and coordination. Therapists practiced hands-on techniques that support:
• postural control and body stability
• sensory processing and body awareness
• pairing vision with movement so children learn to reach, roll, sit, and explore
• guiding natural developmental milestones through purposeful movement
These strategies are especially helpful for babies who spent long periods in the NICU or hospital during their first year and did not have as many opportunities to move and explore in a natural environment.
Our team also observed a patient demonstration and worked through real clinical cases using the Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) model. This type of advanced training strengthens our ability to support children with motor delays, muscle tone differences, and developmental differences.
Your child’s therapy plan is built on the latest research, hands-on training, and a team that stays committed to learning.
Because every child deserves the strongest start possible.
