I began my massage training in 2004, and I graduated from The American Institute of Clinical Massage (AICM) in Post Falls, ID in 2006. I went through the Massage Therapy Certification Program and continued to graduate from the Professional Licensing Program. AICM’s curriculum is approved by the NCBTMB, the Washington Workforce Training, the Oregon Board of Massage, and the Idaho Department of Education. I am also a member of the Associated Body and Massage Professionals (ABMP). Massage Therapy allows me to work one on one with people and I enjoy collaborating with each client to create a personalized massage that is uniquely healthful and beneficial to each individual. I have a special interest in working with clients living with chronic pain, but I also provide general relaxation massage for stress reduction and I specialize in Prenatal and LaStone Therapy. As you likely know, clinical research demonstrates the value of massage as a means to decrease the symptoms related to several conditions including arthritis, fibromyalgia, low back pain, migraines, repetitive stress injuries, and injuries from sports activities and automobile accidents. Through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, New York City I have received certification in health coaching. As a Certified Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that enables clients to achieve all of their health goals and give them the personal attention they deserve. I have studied all the major dietary theories and used practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide one in discovering which approach works best for them. Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun, and free of denial and discipline. No one diet works for everyone. I will guide clients to find the food and lifestyle choices that will best support them. I will also help to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable a person to reach their current and future health goals. I love living in my hometown of McCall, Idaho. I cherish time spent with family and friends in the beautiful mountains and am grateful for all it has to offer.
