St. Luke's McCall Whether you live in McCall full time or unwind here on the weekends, we’re here to support your ac St. The St. Luke’s McCall Foundation does just that.

Luke’s McCall serves the healthcare needs of people living and visiting in the Central Idaho Mountains. We are a not-for-profit, 15-bed community hospital providing 24-hour emergency services, orthopedic and general surgery, diagnostic testing, rehabilitation therapy, maternal and childbirth services, and outpatient infusion services including chemotherapy. Protecting access to healthcare in rural

areas is a challenge. Your generosity enables St. Luke’s McCall to continue to provide the technology and skilled staff to offer a range of services not usually found in critical access hospitals. There are many ways you can support local healthcare resources, such as making a financial gift, attending events, or volunteering your time. When you give to St. Luke’s McCall Foundation, you invest in community health. Your gift helps us provide the exceptional healthcare the people of our community deserve, ensuring that vital services are available close to home. Hospital Volunteer Turned Foundation Board President.

April is National Volunteer Month, and St. Luke’s McCall would like to thank its incredible team of dedicated volunteers who serve in many impactful roles for the hospital.

One such volunteer, Ron Erskine, was recently named the new Board President of the St. Luke’s McCall Foundation. Ron was first introduced to the Foundation through his volunteer work, where his experience supporting hospital staff and patients gave him a firsthand understanding of the compassionate care provided locally and inspired him to take on a larger role in advancing the hospital’s mission.

As a Foundation board member and now Board President, Ron has been a strong advocate for expanding health care services, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring families across our region have access to exceptional care close to home.
Thank you, Ron, for all you do to support St. Luke’s McCall!

St. Luke's McCall Celebrates Volunteer’s 90th Birthday!

April is National Volunteer Month, and St. Luke’s McCall would like to thank its incredible team of dedicated volunteers who serve in many impactful roles for the hospital.

One such volunteer, Tom Harris, celebrated his 90th birthday last month—along with his eighth anniversary of volunteering for St. Luke’s McCall. To commemorate this milestone birthday, hospital staff gathered along with Tom’s friends and family to honor him in the department where he brings joy and comfort to both patients and staff.

Tom began volunteering for St. Luke’s McCall following “outstanding care” he received during a surgery, realizing it was a place where he wanted to dedicate his time and energy. Tom has touched the hearts of countless patients and staff during his many years of service. He is a shining example of how volunteering benefits not only those receiving care but also enriches the lives of those who give their time to serve others.

Therapeutic treatments help patients find hope and healing

The St. Luke’s McCall Foundation is proud to support patients through the Hope and Healing Fund, which can help cover the cost of therapeutic treatments like massage and acupuncture for patients facing life-changing illnesses.

As one lung cancer patient describes, "one unexpected blessing in this journey has been the integrative treatments I received through the St. Luke’s McCall Foundation’s Hope and Healing program.

Massage therapy and acupuncture helped me relax and address my pain. I always looked forward to these appointments because they didn’t just help me feel better but made me feel human again."

The Hope and Healing Fund is funded by generous donations from people in the community. Compassion Fund Helps Patients Fight Back

St. Luke’s McCall patient Carol Rhodes is no stranger to beating the odds: diagnosed with stage 4 cancer four years ago, Carol’s life expectancy looked grim. But Carol wasn’t going down without a fight.

"I have a picture of my tumors so I can look them in the eye and continue fighting. So far, I am winning, and I intend to keep fighting for every beautiful day."

To aid Carol in her battle, the St. Luke’s McCall Foundation’s Compassion Fund, which provides financial support to qualifying patients in need, stepped in to help.

As Carol states, "the support from the Foundation made it a little easier. I do not know if I would have made it through those dark days without this support."

The Compassion Fund is fueled by generous donations from people in the community.

Strong health care starts with stable housing.

Quality health care in a mountain town depends on the people who provide it—nurses, technicians, therapists, and support staff. But without attainable housing, it becomes harder to recruit and retain the health care workers our community relies on.

That’s why St. Luke’s McCall Foundation’s workforce housing project matters. By creating homes for local health care staff, we’re helping ensure consistent, compassionate care for the community today and for generations to come.

You can learn more about ways to support this project by visiting us online at https://stlukesonline.org/en/giving/our-foundations/mccall-foundation/

One of St. Luke’s core goals is to create healthier communities by building strong partnerships, delivering measurable outcomes, and inspiring others to make a collective impact.

We do this by collaborating with local organizations across the region—working together to improve the health and well-being of the people we serve.

One way we fulfill this commitment is through the Community Health Improvement Fund (CHIF). This year, St. Luke’s awarded $998,874 in CHIF grants to 113 organizations across our service areas. Awards ranged from $1,000 to $44,000.

🌟 McCall Highlight:
In the St. Luke’s McCall service area, 12 organizations received CHIF grants totaling $78,637—supporting programs that strengthen mental health, increase access to care, and promote overall community well-being.
