As we move through this season of gratitude, we’re reflecting on the beautiful space that’s been our home for over eight years.

This studio has held so much movement, laughter, learning and connection. It’s where friendships have formed, goals have been met and growth continues every day.

We’re deeply thankful for this warm, welcoming place that has given us opportunity, community and a sense of home. Thank you for being part of our journey, your energy is what fills these walls with life and purpose.

Teacher Spotlight: Our Lovely Jeannie

We’re so grateful to have Jeannie sharing her passion and expertise here at McCall Pilates!

Jeannie fell in love with the Pilates method over 22 years ago when it helped relieve her chronic neck pain from sports injuries and she’s been dedicated to helping others move, feel and live better ever since.

Her deep understanding of anatomy and kinesiology fuels her belief in the incredible design of the human body. She loves seeing her clients move with more ease, strength and confidence, and it truly shows in her teaching.

Our Open Studio Sessions are designed for experienced clients who have completed their private sessions or Foundation Focus work. Under the guidance of Lisa Marie, you’ll refine your technique, deepen your body awareness and move at your own rhythm, all while being supported by expert eyes and thoughtful cues.

McCall Pilates and Headwaters Yoga are teaming up to support our local food bank this season!

We’re collecting items for ongoing community needs, including:
▫️ Soda crackers
▫️ Canned beans (any kind)
▫️ Healthy boxed cereals
▫️ Canned vegetables (green beans, corn, mixed veggies, etc.)
▫️ Canned tuna & other canned proteins

🦃✨ Thanksgiving Items Needed:
Please donate canned black olives & canned cranberries to help fill Thanksgiving care bags.

📍 Drop-Off Locations:

November brings a quiet kind of beauty the golden shimmer of tamarack needles, aspen leaves scattered like sunlight across the path and that crisp air that feels both calming and alive.

A walk in this season slows everything down. The rhythm of footsteps, the crunch of leaves, the steady breath, all reminders to be present. Whether it’s a walk with a friend, your dog trotting ahead or simply your own company, nature has a way of softening the noise and opening space for reflection.

Friendly Reminder!!!

Fueling your body is just as important as moving it. After a workout, your body needs nourishment to replenish energy, rebuild strength, and support recovery.
Think of meals like this one as part of your movement practice ,restoring what you’ve worked so hard for.

Hearty, nourishing, and packed with plant-based goodness,this stew is the perfect way to refuel after a workout or warm up on a chilly day.

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato & Lentil Stew
Ingredients:

* 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
* 2 carrots, chopped
* 2 celery stalks, chopped
* 1 small onion, diced
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 cup dry green or brown lentils (rinsed)
* 1 tsp ground cumin
* 1 tsp smoked paprika
* ½ tsp turmeric (optional but great for inflammation)
* Salt & pepper to taste
* 4 cups vegetable broth
* 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
* Juice of ½ lemon (brightens it up!)
* Optional: handful of spinach or kale stirred in at the end

Instructions:
1. Add all ingredients (except lemon juice and greens) to your crockpot.
2. Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until lentils and veggies are soft.
3. Stir in lemon juice and greens during the last 10 minutes.
4. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve warm.

Serve with brown rice, quinoa, or warm bread for extra comfort.
