Meet Diane Van, DNP, FNP-C

Diane joined McComb OB-GYN Associates in 2020 after earning her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Southern Mississippi. She graduated cm laude from the University of Mississippi in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and cm laude from USM in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Diane worked for five years in various intensive care units at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, spending most of her time in the Neuro ICU, and one year at Beacham Memorial Hospital in Magnolia.

Diane is married to Justin Van, co-owner of City Paint and Glass in McComb. She is the proud mom of Eleanor, born in July 2021, and she and her family just welcomed baby Camille in January of this year. Diane also holds close the memory of her daughter, Delia, whom she looks forward to reuniting with in heaven.

Born and raised in McComb, Diane loves caring for the women of Pike County and surrounding areas. In her spare time, she is active in her community as a board member of St. Andrews Mission, a member of the McComb Garden Club, a nurse and “Cabin Mom” at Camp Sunshine, and a member of The Episcopal Church of the Mediator.

We are so lucky to have Diane as part of our team! 💗

Meet the MOGA Team 💗 | Kappi Rushing, FNP-C

Kappi Rushing is one of our amazing Nurse Practitioners at McComb OB-GYN Associates. A 2000 graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, she began her nursing career at King’s Daughters Medical Center before returning to her hometown of Natchez while pursuing her master’s degree.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Alcorn State University in 2006 and began her journey as a Nurse Practitioner at Natchez Women’s Center. After a decade of serving patients there, Kappi joined the MOGA team in 2017.

Kappi fell in love with Women’s Health during grad school and hasn’t looked back.
“I love the fact that I can relate to my patients through my own experiences—being a teen, a newlywed, pregnant, postpartum, and now a working mom. I also learn so much from my patients. It’s about building relationships and sharing compassion through every season of life.”

Kappi is married to Ron Rushing, a teacher and football coach at Parklane Academy. Together, they’re raising three kids—Tate, Kyle, and Karly. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find her with family and friends or cheering on her crew at the ball field. The Rushing family are members of First Baptist Church of Summit.

We’re so grateful to have Kappi on our team—bringing not only knowledge and experience but also heart to every patient she serves. 💕
