Our Rise and Thrive Summer Camps were packed with laughter, learning, and growth. From building self-regulation and social skills 🤝to strengthening fine and gross motor abilities 💪✂️and boosting kindergarten readiness📚—these kids worked hard and we all had a blast! Wishing all our campers the best as they head back to school-go shine bright and remember, YOU ARE GREAT!! ✨🍎

Gearing up for mental health awareness in May and celebrating with the kickoff of our postpartum support group! This group was so special to me last year and I’m so excited to offer it again!

This monthly support group begins May 12th!

McCOOK, Neb. — All kids should be able to play at the park and people in the McCook area have agreed, as nearly a million dollars has been raised for an inclusive playground to be installed by the end of the year.

The fundraising goal of $925,100 has been met for inclusive playground equipment at Kelley Park, thanks to generous donations, grants and city support. When the idea was first brought up three years ago, however, organizers of the project were a bit daunted by the amount of money that needed to be raised.

McCook woman will compete as Ms. Wheelchair Nebraska

McCOOK, Neb. — A McCook woman has been chosen to represent Nebraska in Ms. Wheelchair USA. Carrie Clay, a resilient mother, advocate, and former paramedic, has been named the 2025 Ms. Wheelchair Nebraska. Clay’s dream of competing for the title began to take shape as she researched the pageant over the past few years. Initially hesitant, she eventually felt empowered to pursue the title this year. “I had kept my eye on the competition for the past couple of years, but I didn’t really feel confident in myself enough to pursue it,” she said. The turning point came when she decided to take back control of her life as she approached her 30th birthday. “I needed to take back some of my emotional time,” she explained, by shifting her focus from simply trying to walk and staying out of the hospital, to embracing new opportunities for growth.
