💙 Grief Support Group Begins February 10 💙

Have you recently lost a loved one? You don’t have to go through it alone.
Community Hospital invites adults to join our Grief Support Group, beginning Monday, February 10, from 4:30–6:30 PM. This group provides a safe, supportive space to share, heal, and connect with others who understand.

👥 Group Details:
• Eight-session closed support group
• Limited to 10–12 participants
• Pre-registration required (no new members added once sessions begin)

💬 No cost to attend
📘 Materials provided through Community Hospital Health Foundation funding

Day 2 of Bison Days: We were thrilled to host 8 students from MHS! As part of their tour, Michal gave an inside look at our casket showroom, explaining caskets, vaults, and how families can personalize these meaningful choices for their loved ones. We look forward to welcoming students again next year!

On Day 1 of Bison Days, we welcomed six students from MHS who expressed interest in learning about the funeral industry. We provided them with a comprehensive tour of our funeral home facilities, addressed their thoughtful questions, and Michal even gave them hands-on experience by having them assist as pallbearers, unloading a casket from the coach and placing it on the lowering device. We appreciate the opportunity to share our expertise with them.

My husband surprised me with a heartfelt gift on our anniversary - a necklace adorned with my late mother's fingerprint and birthstone. While the photographs may not do it justice, the pendant's inscription "Her light shines on" is truly moving. He obtained this beautiful piece through Legacy Touch, a company we have the pleasure of working with. Thank you to all who purchased an ornament this year. The funds from those sales went to such a wonderful organization and we feel so lucky to serve our community alongside of Prairie Plains CASA. God bless you all!

Today, we sincerely thank Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel for their donation in support of our advocacy work.

This gift was made possible through their annual Service of Remembrance, held for families served from November 1 of the previous year through November 1 of the current year. The service includes a message from clergy on grieving during the holiday season, scripture readings, meaningful music, and a personalized ornament presentation honoring loved ones, followed by refreshments and fellowship.

This year, Hermann Jones generously chose Prairie Plains CASA to receive the funds raised through the purchase of additional ornaments.

We also extend appreciation to Kelsey Brown with New Life - McCook for their help in preparing the ornaments and engraved name tags.

We are grateful for community partners who show up with compassion and make this work possible.
