To our patients

It is with a very heavy heart that we have to write this letter. We have been privileged with your trust in providing health care to your children, and for the past 16 years we have cherished that opportunity. Certainly, we have grown as pediatricians as your families and children have grown.

Unfortunately, as of April 1st, J & K Pediatrics will close its doors. Many factors from increased government regulation to lack of reimbursement have contributed to this very difficult choice. We are grateful that you entrusted us with your child's health and became part of our J & K Pediatric family.

There is a positive note as we transition to the next phase of providing health care. As of April 9th, we will be joining Mercy Health Systems. Dr Joe will provide care at Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center in Walworth Wisconsin while Dr Karen and our staff will transition to Mercy Health Systems in McHenry.

Change is always difficult, but with the diligence of our staff, we hope to help you make the transition as smooth as possible. Mercy Health has also promised to help make the transition as smooth as possible for those who still would like to follow us. Mercy Health accepts all the same insurance plans that we have including HMO, but their site number is different and would need to be switched.

For records release prior to April 1st, please contact our office. For record requests after April 1st, please email jandkpeds@yahoo.com and include the child’s name and birthdate.

It has really been an amazing 16 years. We have been blessed to be part of many of your families and watched your children and families grow.
