Happy 25 years of priesthood to Father Terry, who has blessed us with many services over the years!

In an illustrious family that has produced two Pittsburgh mayors, Rev. Terry O’Connor has forged his own path, driven by his faith – one that he had never planned for.

When O’Connor entered the seminary at 26, he thought he wouldn’t last a week. Decades later, he is in his 25th year as an ordained priest.

O’Connor was assigned first to Our Lady of Fatima Church in Hopewell and then St. Therese in Munhall. He is now pastor of Mary, Mother of God Parish, and has been serving at its member churches, St. Patrick, Corpus Christi and St. Angela Merici, since 2018.

“The important thing is to be there, be accessible, be among the people,” he said.
