The Virginia Morticians’ Association is deeply saddened by the passing of Brenda Campbell, owner of Campbell Funeral Home and a valued VMA member.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her children, family, and loved ones as they mourn the loss of their matriarch. Ms. Campbell’s legacy of service, leadership, and compassion will be remembered and cherished by our profession. 🕊️

It is with profound sorrow and deep respect that we announce the passing of our beloved owner, Ms. Brenda Campbell, a beloved and highly respected Funeral Director and Embalmer, whose life and legacy have left an indelible mark on the funeral service profession and the countless families she served.

Ms. Campbell faithfully served her community for more than 60 years as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Her career was not simply a profession, but a calling—one she carried out with unmatched dedication, compassion, integrity, and reverence for life. She approached every family with grace, dignity, and genuine care, offering comfort during life’s most difficult moments.

A true pioneer in funeral service, Ms. Campbell was admired for her strength, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence. She paved the way for others, mentored many, and upheld the highest standards of professionalism while never losing sight of the ministry of service at the heart of her work.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. She trusted fully in God’s promises and lived her life as a servant of Christ. We take comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and that she is now resting in eternal peace, embraced by God’s everlasting care. Her legacy will continue to live on through the lives she touched, the profession she helped shape, and the example she set for generations to come.

Please continue to keep the Campbell family, staff, and all who loved and respected her in your prayers during this time of mourning and remembrance.

During this period of bereavement and transition, Weldon-Fisher Funeral Home, in collaboration with the dedicated staff of Campbell Funeral Home, will continue to provide services to families who desire Campbell Funeral Home to serve them.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
