The biggest mistake people make after a massage…

Not drinking water.

After bodywork, your muscles and tissues have just been worked, circulation has increased, and your body is adjusting to the changes from the session. Staying hydrated helps support your body’s natural processes and can help you feel better after your massage.

Hydration supports healthy circulation and tissue function, and it can help your body integrate the work that was done during your session.

A simple tip: drink a glass of water after your massage and continue hydrating throughout the day.

It’s a small habit that helps your body get the most from your session.

Things I don’t care about as your bodyworker:

1. Shaved legs. I never ask men about it, so ladies, you truly never need to apologize to me for that.

2. The shape of your body or how much it weighs. Bodies come in all shapes, sizes, and stages of life. My focus is never on how your body looks, it’s on how it feels and what it might be holding.

3. Your undergarments. You’re welcome to wear them if that makes you feel comfortable, or not if that feels better for you. Either way is completely okay.

4. Feeling like you need to apologize for your body. I hear this often, and I want you to know there is nothing about your body that you need to apologize for here.

When you're on my table, you're in my care. Creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and able to truly relax is deeply important to me. My focus is always on listening to your body, supporting what it needs, and helping you reconnect with yourself.

It is truly an honor to do this work, and my clients mean the world to me. 💛

🍂 Self-care isn’t always about doing more, i’s about slowing down.

A quiet morning with a good book, a warm drink, and a moment to yourself can be just as healing as a massage session. Pair both, and you have the ultimate recipe for balance and well-being.

What’s your favorite way to slow down and recharge?

Relax your shoulders.
Unclench your jaw.
Take a breath.

Now imagine an hour of this. ✨

One of the best parts of living on the North Coast is having beautiful hikes like Trinidad Head right outside our door.

But steep trails and uneven ground can leave your calves, hips, and lower back feeling it the next day.

Here are a few simple ways to help your body recover after a hike:

• Take a short cool-down walk before sitting for too long
• Gently stretch your calves, hips, and hamstrings
• Drink water to rehydrate after physical exertion
• Take a warm shower to help muscles relax

If your body still feels tight or sore the next day, bodywork can help release deeper tension and support recovery. Your body does a lot for you out there on the trails, taking a few minutes to care for it afterward makes a big difference.

Calm is not a luxury—it’s a strength. In the chaos, your nervous system craves safety.

Massage, breath, and quiet moments help bring you back to that center.

Relaxation isn’t giving up. It’s getting ready.

There’s nothing quite like the soothing weight and gentle warmth of heated stones melting into tired muscles. 🔥

This ancient technique goes beyond relaxation, helps improve circulation, ease deep tension, and leave you feeling grounded, calm, and renewed from the inside out. 🌿

The world moves fast.
Your nervous system doesn’t have to.

Come back to your breath.
Come back to your body.
Come back to yourself. 🤍

✨ Space to reset is waiting.

Life doesn’t always calm down when we need it to. Emotions rise, the world rushes, and our nervous systems absorb more than we realize.

This is why caring for your body isn’t optional. It’s how we build resilience. It’s how we learn to ride the waves instead of being pulled under.

Massage invites your body back into rhythm. Softens the tension, quiets the static, and reconnects you to your breath. It’s a reset, a remembering.

Your body is worthy of that care. Always.

At Bodywork Alchemy, we value professionals who understand that homes aren’t just transactions, they’re nervous systems, families, chapters, and roots. Sarah brings that same care-forward, human-first approach to everything she does, whether she’s helping longtime locals or welcoming new folks to the North Coast.

We love highlighting local businesses that lead with integrity and heart. Congratulations, Sarah, and thank you for all you do for this community. 🌿
