Fall Break was a blast! We hosted 3 days of fun starting out on Monday, November 24 at Sumeg where we hosted over 85 youth doing engaging cultural activities such as traditional gambling, regalia sharing and and finished with a delicious salmon lunch!

Tuesday, we were able to pick up our amazing Hoopa kiddos once they were released from school and took them to the brand new Willow Creek skate park where Charlie from Skatepark Collective showed our youth how to balance, ride the ramp and laugh a lot.

Finally on Wednesday we hosted our largest Fall Break group to date. We had 50 youth from Hoopa and an additional 40 coastal youth at the Arcata Pool. We love getting our kiddos together from each region to see the friendships blossom!

We can’t wait for Winter Break. Stay tuned for our fun lineup of activities :)!

Our Young Bucks, Spotted Does, Youth Ambassadors, and other native youth from our communities spent the day in Sue-Meg Village learning, practicing, and sharing culture together. Youth cooked salmon, learned about women’s and men’s regalia, played shell-dice and men’s games, cleaned pine nuts, wove bear grass, and more.

It was a good day! Steady learning, lots of connection, and plenty of moments that reminded us how important it is to create spaces like this for our young people.

Thank you to the cultural leaders and community members who showed up to teach and support. Your guidance helps keep these practices strong and rooted for the next generation. 🌿

This past weekend, Two Feathers and the California Native Vote Project brought together 47 amazing Native youth for a powerful 2-day Social Justice Academy!

Over the weekend, we learned about the power of Native youth voice and how each of us can create real change in our communities. Youth explored how to build and run their own campaigns, brainstormed big ideas for making a difference, and focused on one of our main messages: destigmatizing mental health.

A huge shoutout to Calvin and Sequoia from CNVP for bringing so much inspiration, wisdom, and guidance. ✨

We’re so proud of this group of passionate, powerful young leaders — and we cannot wait to see where their ideas take them next! 🔥💪🏽🧠

On November 8th, four of our awesome youth hit the stage at the Men’s Wellness Conference Youth Panel hosted by Trinidad Rancheria! They opened up about how social media can impact mental health, the challenges youth face when trying to talk about it, and why having a trusted friend or adult to lean on matters. They also shared some of their own go-to ways to stay grounded and take care of themselves.

Huge shoutout to these four young men for showing up, speaking up, and leading the way. We’re so proud of you!

And a big thank you to Trinidad Rancheria for hosting such an amazing event and inviting us to be part of it!

We’re partnering with the California Native Vote Project (CNVP) to host the Social Justice Campaign Academy — a two-day, hands-on training that helps youth grow as leaders and make positive change in their communities.

High school aged youth will learn how to identify community issues, set goals, organize campaigns, build support, and speak up with confidence — all grounded in Native culture and values.

Friday, Nov. 15 | 10 AM – 4 PM

Saturday, Nov. 16 | 10 AM – 3 PM
🍽️ Lunch provided both days
