🌸 Wellness Wednesday: A Fresh Start for Your Heart 🌸

Spring is a season of renewal — and it’s the perfect time to give your heart the same fresh start.

If you’ve been experiencing symptoms like palpitations, dizziness, fatigue, or irregular heartbeats, it may be time to check in with an electrophysiology specialist. Electrophysiology focuses on diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders so you can feel your best and stay active this season.

Longer days mean more movement, more sunshine, and more opportunities to prioritize your health. Don’t ignore the signs your heart may be giving you.

🌿 This spring, let’s reset, refresh, and restore your rhythm.

đź’™Thursday Thoughtsđź’™

Did you know your heart rate matters just as much as your blood pressure?

Bradycardia is when the heart beats slower than normal—typically fewer than 60 beats per minute.

🔍 Possible symptoms include:
• Fatigue or weakness
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Shortness of breath
• Fainting or near-fainting

While some people (like athletes) may have a naturally lower heart rate, bradycardia can also signal an underlying heart rhythm issue that needs attention.

💙 If you or a loved one are experiencing symptoms, don’t ignore them. Early evaluation can make all the difference.

📞 Call our office to schedule an evaluation or to learn more about heart rhythm care.

✨ Motivation Monday ✨

Every heartbeat is a reminder that resilience lives within us.

In cardiology — especially electrophysiology — we see it every day. Hearts that skip, race, pause… and then find their rhythm again. Just like people.

This week, remember:
💙 Progress doesn’t have to be perfect.
đź’™ Healing takes time.
đź’™ Strength shows up in small, steady beats.

Keep going. Your rhythm matters!

đź’™ Wellness Wednesday: Stroke Prevention in AFib đź’™

Patients with atrial fibrillation are at higher risk for stroke. In electrophysiology, Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) procedures — help seal off the area where clots commonly form.

✔️ Minimally invasive
✔️ Reduces stroke risk
✔️ May eliminate long-term blood thinners

Protect the rhythm. Protect the brain. đź«€

Monday Motivation đź’™ | Electrophysiology Edition

New week, new reminder to listen to your heart — and your blood pressure.
Hypotension means low blood pressure, typically defined as readings below 90/60 mmHg.

When blood pressure drops too low, it can reduce blood flow to vital organs and may cause:
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Fatigue
• Fainting
• Heart rhythm concerns in some patients

In electrophysiology, maintaining healthy blood pressure helps support proper heart rhythm and overall cardiac function - we are here to HELP! Check out the link below to learn more:

Friday FACTS!

Did you know a pacemaker doesn’t make your heart beat all the time?

A pacemaker only sends signals when your heart needs support, helping maintain a safe, steady rhythm.

More to know:
• Pacemakers are small and implanted under the skin
• The procedure is common with a short recovery
• Most patients return home the same or next day
• Routine check-ups help ensure everything stays in sync

Pacemakers support your heart—quietly working in the background so you can focus on living well. ❤️⚡

đź«€ Tuesday Tips: Cold Weather & Your Heart

Cold temperatures can cause your blood vessels to tighten, which may raise heart rate and blood pressure—especially in patients with heart rhythm conditions.

❄️ EP Cold-Weather Tips:

•Bundle up to keep your body (and heart) warm
•Warm up slowly before outdoor activity
•Stay hydrated—even when you don’t feel thirsty
•Pay attention to palpitations, dizziness, or shortness of breath
