Migraines during pregnancy are often brushed off as just hormones, but that is not always the full picture ✨
One thing we look at often is the jaw.
A lot of moms are holding way more tension there than they realize, especially if they clench, grind their teeth at night, or carry stress through the face, temples, and upper neck. When that area stays tight, it can add to the tension patterns that travel right up into the head and make migraines feel even worse 🤍
That is part of why prenatal care can be so helpful. At Tula, we are not just chasing the symptom. We are looking at how your body is holding stress, where there is tension, how the neck and jaw are functioning, and how your nervous system is handling everything pregnancy is asking of it.
Sometimes releasing tension through the jaw, upper neck, and surrounding muscles can make a really noticeable difference 🌿
If pregnancy migraines have been showing up for you, there may be more going on than just hormones, and you do not have to just push through it 💛
