Both of us were blessed in the sense of being raised in families that taught us the importance of hard work, honesty and kindness. We were taught to always give our very best and our purpose – “Seek to Serve” is weaved into everything we do.
We knew that senior care could be better! In the late 90’s, Teresa presented to Godwin her concept for a small boutique home model in a neighborhood community that was specifically designed for assisted living and memory care. Hence, the origins of Teresa’s House – created with a sketch and a dream, wrapped in a passion for excellence was born. From there we asked a simple question: What would our parents/grandparents want? The answer was simple: A place where they could just be themselves in a home environment living life to the fullest!
We know through our own experience with our own families, that choosing the right place for a loved one is a deeply personal and well thought out decision – yet so important to get right the first time. Teresa’s House is a culmination of our almost 60 years of combined experience, research and understanding of what excellence looks like in senior care. Our intimate neighborhood homes were created specifically for individualized care and offering personalization and choices in ways that are just not possible in larger centers. We designed Teresa’s House to be warm, inviting and intimate in scale – just like home, only better! We intentionally only provide for 12-16 residents per home in our senior living communities. This allows us to truly get to know our residents and families, plan their specific care needs, and give our residents purpose each day.
We put our dream on hold for 20 years while serving the community through non-profit leadership. Now is time to bring everything we have learned in our careers of care and services to seniors - to our very own care community. Our mission is simple: To provide the finest senior care in a warm, supportive, home environment where meaningful relationships are formed and purpose filled lives are lived.
