Child/person-led therapy should be the primary focus of our sessions as speech-language pathologists. This empowers our clients by giving them direction in sessions and providing them with a voice to advocate for their desires and interests.

By utilizing child/person-led therapy, we are acknowledging forms of communication that may have gone otherwise ignored and bringing meaning to their intended message(s).
