Each month, we highlight team members who bring our StatLab CARES values to life by supporting our customers and the patients who depend on them—and this month, we’re proud to recognize Julie Hawkins Brown from our USA Direct Field Sales team.

When a customer encountered an incorrect delivery from a carrier, Julie immediately stepped in to help resolve the situation. She personally coordinated a FedEx pickup and remained on-site for several hours, ensuring the pickup and redelivery process ran smoothly from start to finish.

Julie didn’t stop at logistics—she rolled up her sleeves, helping move boxes and working through the summer heat to minimize disruption for the customer. Her hands-on approach and commitment ensured a seamless resolution and reinforced the trust our customers place in StatLab every day.

What a great week in San Antonio at USCAP!

We had the opportunity to connect with pathologists, lab professionals, and OEM partners—sparking meaningful conversations at our booth, welcoming attendees with pink refreshments at our smoothie bar, and showcasing our product and equipment portfolio designed to support the end-to-end lab workflow. It was a week full of impactful connections.

We also introduced new research on the impact of slide background staining in digital pathology and were proud to support Dr. Lorenzo Nibid’s poster presentation on Understanding the Impact of Decalcification on Tissue.

Lunch is on us—and so are CE credits!

At the beginning of this year, we launched our Lunch & Learn program to support histology teams with accessible, practical education—plus provide lunch to keep both your knowledge and your stomach fueled.

Through our HistoHints webinar series, these 60-minute sessions combine histology best practices and techniques with the opportunity to earn P.A.C.E.® CE credits—all in a format that fits easily into the workday.

It’s been great to see teams engaging in topics like stain troubleshooting and fixation while creating space for shared learning right in the lab.

Last week, the StatLab Channel Management and Sales teams connected with Medline’s Lab Specialist and Generalist sales teams to share the latest from StatLab—from new product launches to equipment solutions. Through hands-on conversations, the teams also identified opportunities to support customers seeking innovative anatomical pathology solutions.

It was a valuable week of building relationships, exchanging ideas, and setting the stage for an exciting 2026 ahead.

We’re excited to share the opening of our new Customer Innovation Lab at our McKinney headquarters—a space designed to bring our solutions to life in a real laboratory environment.

This is more than a lab—it’s where our Product Support team actively works, supports customers, and helps produce solutions every day. And just as importantly, it’s a place where customers can step into a true workflow, get hands-on with our equipment, and see how innovation performs in real-world applications.

We built this space to make collaboration, training, and innovation more accessible than ever.

We took your feedback and used it to rebuild the site to work more like real lab purchasing does—simpler, smoother, and a lot faster.

Here are a few things you’ll notice right away:
• More account control, like adding or editing shipping addresses
• User roles so teams can review and approve orders before they’re placed
• Favorites are gone, but upgraded shopping lists will become your new favorite
• Greater visibility into order status

We also made search a lot more helpful. Now when you search, you’ll find HistoHints, videos, webinars, and tutorials right alongside products—so you can find what you need and the info that goes with it.
