What is gout? A type of inflammatory arthritis that can cause pain. Most commonly affecting your big toe joint. Symptoms include severe attacks of swelling, redness, and tenderness in one or more joints.

Gout attacks can come on suddenly, frequently causing you to wake up in the middle of the night feeling like your big toe is on fire. Even the weight of the bedsheet may seem intolerable on the affected joint because it is so hot, swollen, and tender.

Anyone, no matter age or s*x, can develop a UTI. Urinary tract infections (UTIs) lead to more than millions of visits to the doctor every year. In addition, they are one of the most common types of outpatient infections.

Potential causes that lead to getting a UTI:
• Having trouble fully emptying the bladder
• Being s*xually active
• Blockage in the urinary tract, such as kidney stones
• Diabetes
• Recently used a catheter
• Had a previous UTI
• Having vesicoureteral reflux
• Poor hygiene

What exactly is a UTI?

UTI happens when bacteria overcome the body’s defenses in the urinary system. As a result, they can cause discomfort and urination problems, but medication and home remedies can often resolve them.

Insulin resistance has quickly become one of the top medical problems I see in my office. There are many reasons, but the primary reason is directly associated with the amount and type of food we eat. The good news is Insulin resistance is treatable and can even be totally reversed. The bad news is most people don't have any symptoms, and the only way to find this issue is through basic blood work.
