🎉 We are so proud!

Please join us in celebrating Scout on her acceptance to Lincoln Memorial University School of Medicine in Tennessee!

From serving patients with compassion during her Pulse & Purpose Gap Year to stepping boldly into the next chapter of her journey in the medical field, she has embodied what this program is all about — learning deeply, serving faithfully, and leading with heart.

Watching her grow this year has been such a gift to our team. Her kindness, dedication, and quiet strength have impacted patients and staff alike.

We cannot wait to see how the Lord will continue to guide her steps and use her to bring healing and hope to so many.

While we will certainly miss her when she finishes her Pulse & Purpose Internship, we know this is only the beginning of a beautiful calling.

Congratulations, . Your CommonGood family is cheering you on every step of the way. 💙

We are so grateful for our continued partnership with Texas Health Resources and their Mobile Mammogram Unit. 💙

Since 2019, Texas Health has faithfully served our patients by bringing breast cancer screenings directly to CommonGood Medical. With 15 appointment slots each clinic, their team creates accessible, dignified care in a place where our patients already feel safe and comfortable.

Access to preventative care can be life-changing. And when additional follow-up is needed, Texas Health ensures continued care and resources every step of the way.

As the need in our community continues to grow, we are deeply thankful for this collaboration and hopeful for even more opportunities to serve together.

Partnerships like this remove barriers and make early detection possible.

Thank you, Texas Health Resources, for standing with our patients and helping us care for the whole person.

✨ Staff Spotlight: Meet Omar Plascencia! ✨

This month, we’re excited to highlight Omar Plascencia, our wonderful Front Desk Receptionist here at CommonGood Medical. Omar is often the first face our patients see when they walk through the door, and he brings kindness, care, and purpose to every check-in.

We asked Omar a few fun questions to get to know him better:

💙 If you could describe CommonGood in one word, what would it be and why?
“Meaningful. At CommonGood Medical, we aren’t just treating symptoms, we’re caring for our neighbors. Every check-in is an opportunity to share God’s love through service and provide quality care to Collin County residents, making every moment behind the desk truly matter.”

🍣 Favorite local lunch spot:
“Koji Sushi. I especially love their fried sushi and the avocado bombs!”

🖊️ Favorite clinic comfort:
“My favorite pen. It might seem small, but having that one perfect, smooth-writing pen makes everything from check-in to paperwork feel just a little bit easier and more organized.”

Omar, thank you for the meaningful care you bring to our CommonGood family each day. Your heart for service, attention to detail, and compassion for our patients make a real difference, and we are so grateful for you. 💛

Some invitations carry weight.

We’re honored to have Alfred Morris serving as part of our Host Committee and joining us as our guest speaker for the 2026 CommonGood Benefit.

Alfred’s story is one of perseverance, faith, and gratitude. And his belief in this mission comes from understanding how powerful it is when a community steps in with compassion.

This night is not just about gathering in a beautiful space. It’s about what happens when neighbors decide no one should face a health crisis alone.

On April 17, that decision fills a room.

We are incredibly grateful to Milestone Church for hosting a Thrift Donation Drive in support of CommonGood Thrift! 💛

What may look like a few bags of clothes is actually something much bigger.

For every 4 bags donated = 1 month of healthcare for a patient in need.

That means generosity from your congregation is directly helping provide free, whole-person medical care to uninsured neighbors in our community. This is partnership. This is impact. This is the common good in action.

If your church would like to get involved, we would love to partner with you. Visit commongoodthrift.com and click “Church Partners” to learn how your congregation can host a donation drive.

And if you haven’t already, be sure to follow our thrift page CommonGood Thrift for updates on donation drives, volunteer opportunities, and our upcoming store opening. 👕🧺
Go check them out and give them a follow today!

Together, we’re turning closets into care. 💙

✨ Volunteer Spotlight: Rachel Samuel ✨

This month, we are honored to spotlight Rachel, one of our incredible Pulse Purpose gap year interns! If you’ve spent any time around her, you already know she brings the biggest and brightest smile wherever she goes.

While some of us may still be lovingly trying to convince her to join women’s health, we are so excited to celebrate the amazing news that Rachel was recently accepted into dental school and will be starting at UT Health Houston this August. We’re incredibly grateful for the way the Lord has opened this door as she continues living on mission through healthcare.

Rachel’s love for Jesus shines through in the way she serves and cares for others, and we know she’ll carry that same compassion and faith wherever she goes next.

💛 Rachel shares:
“Hi, my name is Rachel! I am one of the Pulse Purpose gap year interns and will be starting dental school at UT Health Houston this coming August. When I’m not serving at CommonGood, I’m probably hanging out with friends playing volleyball or tennis. I’m so excited to get to be on mission through healthcare and for all God will continue to do through my life!”

Rachel, thank you for the joy, heart, and faith you’ve brought to the CommonGood family. We’re cheering you on every step of the way! 💙
