Today, we pause to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ✨

His words remind us that justice is not just an ideal — it's a responsibility. And nowhere is that more urgent than in healthcare.

We believe every person is made in God’s image — worthy of dignity, care, and compassion. We believe that healthcare is not a privilege, but a shared responsibility. And we believe that redemptive justice looks like a neighbor finally hearing, “You’re going to be okay.”

On this day, we don’t just remember Dr. King’s dream — we work to live it. 🕊️

✨ Staff Spotlight: Meet Rosy Valdez! ✨

This month, we’re so excited to highlight Rosy Valdez, one of our wonderful Medical Assistants here at CommonGood Medical. Rosy’s bubbly personality and joyful spirit brings laughter wherever she goes, and her compassion shines through in every interaction with patients, volunteers, and staff.

We asked Rosy a few fun questions to get to know her better:

💙 If you could describe CommonGood in one word, what would it be?
“Compassion.”
Rosy shared that compassion at CommonGood is more than a value. It is how we see and treat every person who walks through our doors. From the moment a patient arrives, compassion shapes how we listen, support, and care for them. It means meeting people where they are, addressing not just medical needs but emotional ones too, and serving with empathy, dignity, and heart.

🍕 Favorite local lunch spot:
“Cadillac Pizza Pub. I order the Sedona salad without tomatoes and bell peppers.”

🧋 Favorite clinic comfort:
“A large iced matcha with oat milk, brown sugar, and light ice.”

Rosy, thank you for everything you do and for the compassionate care you bring to our CommonGood family and patients each day. Your joy, kindness, and heart for others make a lasting difference, and we are so grateful for you. 💛

Today our development team hit pause — to find rhythm.

Thanks to the generosity of our friends at Preston Trail Community Church and the hospitality of Kristi Burtner, we spent the day dreaming, planning, laughing (a lot), and setting a rhythm for the year ahead.

Because rhythm isn’t just about movement — it’s what turns motion into meaningful action.

2026 is already taking shape, and we’re excited for all that’s ahead. More stories, more connections, more ways to walk with our neighbors in love and dignity.

Thank you, Preston Trail, for the space to rest, reflect, and reimagine.

Let’s do this, 2026. 💛

👁️ January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month

Glaucoma is often called the “silent thief of sight” — it can cause permanent vision loss without early warning signs. That’s why regular eye exams and early detection are so critical.

At CommonGood Medical, enrolled patients don’t have to navigate this alone. Access to vision care is part of our commitment to whole-person care — helping our neighbors protect their sight, their independence, and their quality of life. 🌿

If you or someone you love hasn’t had an eye exam recently, let this be your reminder.
Early care can make all the difference.

💚 Take action this month:
✔️ Prioritize your eye health
✔️ Encourage someone else to get checked
✔️ Support access to vision care for uninsured neighbors

Together, we can help more people see a clearer, healthier future.
