Hello, All!
First, a sincere thank you for your patience and flexibility this past week. The schedule ended up being a little more chaotic than anticipated, and I truly appreciate everyone who adjusted appointment times or rolled with last-minute changes. Your kindness and understanding never go unnoticed, and it helps keep the clinic running smoothly.
Schedule for the Week Ahead
We do still have acupuncture appointments available throughout the week next week, but they will be **acupuncture-only sessions**.
At the moment, there is only one remaining evening slot, which is Tuesday at 5:45 PM.
With the current schedule, cosmetic acupuncture and acupuncture appointments that include manual therapies (such as cupping or gua sha) will not be available again until the week of March 16th (excluding those already scheduled, of course!).
Looking Ahead
Speaking of the week of the 16th — that week will also bring a transition for us. Next week (week of March 9th) will be Jessica’s final week helping in the clinic in person. We are so grateful for all of the organization and support she has brought to the practice!
As we move forward from there though, there may be some limited appointment availability for a little while as we settle into a new rhythm and adjust the schedule. Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate that transition!
Daylight Savings: Tips for a Smoother Adjustment
Don’t forget that **Daylight Savings begins tonight**, which means losing an hour of sleep. Even small shifts in our internal clock can affect sleep, mood, and energy for a few days.
A few simple things that can help your body adjust more smoothly:
• Get **sunlight early in the morning** tomorrow if possible
• Try to **eat meals at regular times** to cue your body clock
• Go to bed **slightly earlier the next couple nights** if you feel tired
• Stay well **hydrated**, as fatigue is often worse when we’re dehydrated
Acupuncture can also be especially helpful this time of year for helping the body recalibrate its internal rhythm.
A Crystal for Resetting Your Rhythm (Silly, but Why Not!)
If you enjoy working with crystals, **smoky quartz** can be a wonderful companion during time changes. It’s traditionally associated with grounding and helping the body release stress and energetic “static.” Keeping a piece nearby during sleep or meditation can be a gentle reminder to stay centered while your body adjusts.
Thank you again for being such a supportive and wonderful community.
Best,
Dr. Sarah
