My passion in my work is helping my clients live with less pain. Most of my work revolves around pain management. Many of my clients come to me with headache issues which can often be helped by reducing tension in the upper back, shoulders and neck. However I see a common correlation between headaches and scented products that clients use - Laundry products, deodorants, perfumes, room deodorizers, etc. In our daily lives we are hit by a barrage of chemical based scents, some more powerful than others. Many people are sensitive to chemical based scents, myself included. Just going down the laundry detergent isle at the store is enough to give me a headache. Of my clients that suffer from chronic headaches and use scented products and that have tried reducing or eliminating these scented products in their lives, many have reported back to me that their headaches are drastically reduced, or in some cases, completely eliminated. Reducing/eliminating scented products is an experiment I would encourage anyone that suffers from headaches to try.

Today, Feb 5th 2020, marks 2 years since I signed the lease on my current office space. As soon as the ink was dry Debbie and I began gathering materials to fabricate sound deadening fixtures for the walls. As it was, conversations could be heard through the walls.

By the end of February the sound deadening fixtures were installed, the large oak partition panels I had used in the downtown office had been moved and installed and the move was completed once the interior furnishings were in place. All thanks to the help from Debbie, Khalen and Myriah. March 1, 2018 was my first day of practice in the new location.

I love my new office. Parking is a dream and it is much easier to find than the downtown location. Downtown, my clients often had difficulty finding parking nearby. While I did enjoy the old office, as it was my first work space creation, I think I can say that the only thing I really miss about being downtown is working next door to Los Molcajetes. It was a good place to get good food close to my work.

My new sign is up on the building at 1709 NE 27th St. It was fun getting it prepared and put together. With Debbie's knowledge of Publisher, she and I designed the graphics, had it printed, applied the transparency to the Lexan and installed it to the sign box. I love being hands-on with all these projects. Feels good to be creative in so many ways. Having experience installing decals to the sides of RVs was helpful for this project. It was actually easier than an RV decal because we installed it to the Lexan laying flat so there was much more control.

This is the interior of my new office. The oak partition is the same that we had put up in my previous office in the Odd Fellows building downtown 8 years ago. Building Material Resources in Sherwood saved us a lot in the cost of materials. A great place for the bargain hunter and the seeker of the unusual.
Again, Debbie's help was invaluable in getting it all pulled together as well as Myriah and Khalen pitching in.

Alderwood Massage Therapy has found its new forever home. Debbie and I have been working on getting this space ready for a month. With the additional help of Khalen and Myriah we moved this past weekend, opened March 1st 2018. I could not have made this move happen without their diligent work.

The new location is at 1709 NE 27th St, Suite J. Turn North off 99w onto McDaniel Lane between McDonald's and the Ford dealership. In one block McDaniel ends at 27th. The office building will be right in front of you. Park behind the building and enter the rear entrance. Take the second door on the left then second door on the right just before the side exit door.
