Huge congratulations to our Case Management team for receiving our 5 Star CAREgiver Departmental Award! ⭐

This recognition came from a heartfelt moment with a swing bed patient who had been with us for over two weeks and was feeling discouraged. Sara arranged for her to enjoy lunch in the cafeteria- giving her a chance to get out of her room, be around others, and have more choices. Sara and Shauna even joined her, turning a simple lunch into something truly meaningful.

A small act that made a big impact, showing care, compassion, and dignity in the best way. 💙

March is Social Work Month 💙

This year’s theme, “Social Workers: Uplift. Defend. Transform.”—and we see that lived out every day through the care our patients receive.

We’re proud to recognize our medical social worker, Shauna Vega. With more than a decade of experience, she brings deep clinical expertise and creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space for patients ages 13 and up. Using evidence-based approaches, she helps those navigating anxiety, depression, and mood changes build resilience and move forward with confidence.

Thank you, Shauna, for the compassion and care you bring to our patients and community.

Congratulations to Sarah Sammer, a 5-Star CAREgiver Award recipient!

Sarah shows up with kindness in every single interaction. No matter how a conversation starts, she meets patients with patience, calm, and a genuine smile, often turning tough moments into positive ones. She goes above and beyond, even apologizing for things outside her control and thanking patients for their understanding.

Sarah, it truly doesn’t go unnoticed. We’re so grateful for the way you care for others and the positivity you bring to our team every day. 👏

You don’t have to navigate menopause alone.

McPherson Center for Health is proud to announce the launch of our new Menopause Clinic, designed to support women through perimenopause and menopause with personalized, expert care.

Many women experience symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, sleep issues, mood changes, fatigue, weight shifts, vaginal dryness, and “brain fog” during this stage of life. Our team is here to help with guidance, treatment options, and support tailored to your needs.

Led by Dr. Buchanan, MD, FACOG, and Melisa Kieffer, PA-C, the clinic focuses on helping women feel informed, supported, and confident in their health during midlife.

The need for this care became even more clear following the strong community response to our M Factor event, and we’re excited to now offer this dedicated service locally.

You don’t have to manage menopause on your own.

Call our Patient Navigators today to schedule your consultation: 620-241-7400, Option 1

Appointments are available for both new and existing patients.
