Patricia L. Martin, age 90, of Conneautville, PA. passed away December 30, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center, peacefully with her family by her side. Patricia was born November 28, 1935, in Cannonsburg, PA to the late Stephen and Jean (Dzkowski) Backner. She married Robert Martin on May 3, 1957. He preceded her in death March 6, 2010.
Patricia was a graduate of Cannonsburg High School. Patricia was the head cook for a nursing home, McBride’s and several other bars in the area. She was of Catholic faith. Patricia enjoyed her flowers, gardening, cooking, spending time with her family and socializing with her friends.
Patricia is survived by one daughter, Yvonne Bennett of Springboro, PA, 6 grandchildren; Robert (Shannon) Bennett, Gregory Bennett, Traci (Charles) McDonald, Larry Rihn, Danny Rihn and Sandy Rihn, many great grandchildren, Papa Al, one brother; Ronald Backner, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a son William Martin, a daughter, Lois Rihn, a granddaughter, Lisa Rihn, 3 brothers; James Backner, Robert Backner, and Larry Backer, one sister, Betty Jane Murdy, a son in law; Melvin Bennett and a sister-in-law; Shirley “Chico” Backner.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday January 5 ,2026 from 12:00pm until the time of the service at 2:00pm at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316, with Pastor Loren Little officiating.

Franklin Delano McNulty (Frank) passed away October 19, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on December 15, 1936, to Lucille Young McNulty McMillan Laver and George McNulty.
A lifelong resident of Meadville, Frank graduated from Meadville High School, then immediately enlisted in the United States Naval Reserves while beginning his career as a Lab Technician at the American Viscose/FMC (later Avtex Fibers). With the recommendation and support of his employer, Frank attended Allegheny College from 1961 to 1965, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a Minor in Math. He became a leader within the Viscose Chem Lab, ultimately serving as the Manager of the Acetic Anhydride-Diketene manufacturing unit. Frank dedicated 30 years to Avtex Fibers until the Meadville plant closed. After, he spent 19 years owning real estate, then sold his properties to Mast Brothers, while continuing to work with the new property owners until May 2025.
Frank was known for his love of athletic pursuits and his talent for building. He personally built his own recreation boat, hosting beloved family and friends for many weekend boat outings and picnics at Conneaut Lake. He was an excellent swimmer and loved water skiing. Frank also individually built an A-frame house purely for his enjoyment. He was a dedicated bowler and an active member of the Meadville Ski Club, taking memorable ski trips to Colorado and other favorite locations. He will be fondly remembered for his love of family, thoughtful countenance, and his ongoing love of science and research.
Frank is survived by nieces and nephews, Dan McNulty, Denise Harry (Bill), Kelly Wade (Tom), Lynell Durish (John), Gail McNulty-Schoen (Don), Jim McNulty (Lisa Monnin), Marc McNulty, Gary McNulty Jr. (Donnell), Bill McNulty (Stephanie), Carla Teasdale (Sam), and his sister-in-law, Joyce McNulty. Frank is also survived by numerous grandnieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his three brothers, Robert McNulty, Patrick McNulty, and Gary McNulty; his stepfathers, William McMillan and George Laver; his stepsister, Mary Rueger; and his grandnephew, Nathan Harry.

Aurthur C. Hughes, age 82, of Meadville, PA passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Willow Woods Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Lima, OH. Arthur was born June 16, 1943 in Emerickville, PA to the late Frank and Catherine Hughes. He married Mona Mae Smith on November 16, 1969. She preceded him in death on January 3, 2018.
Arthur worked for Advanced Cast Products for 40 years as a CNC machinist. He was of Christian faith. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2006 in Meadville, PA.
Arthur is survived by his son, Brian Hughes of Floral City, FL, 2 grandchildren: Jennifer (Dennis) Washburn of Saegertown, PA and Haley (John) Bubeck of Wexford, PA, 4 great grandchildren, one sister, Kay Gallagher of Brookville, PA and a brother, Robert (Janet) Hughes of Brookville, PA.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mona, Arthur was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Thomas Hughes, Raymond Hughes, Russell Hughes and Leroy Hughes and one sister, Jane Toven.
Per Arthur wishes, there will be no services. A graveside service will take place a later date when he is laid to rest alongside his wife in Brookville Cemetery.

Marilyn Jean Cain, age 80, of Meadville, PA was born April 19, 1945 and peacefully passed away the morning of December 23, 2025. She married Patrick J. Cain on August 21, 1999. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2010.
Marilyn graduated from Townville High School and continued her education by attending Meadville City Hospital School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse. After working many years for St. Vincent Hospital in various capacities, Marilyn retired and found joy reading, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and raising and releasing monarch butterflies.
Surviving are her sister, Martha Trounter of Meadville PA; children, Steve (Heather) Wykoff of Buckhannon, WV, Steve (Amy) Cain of Girard, PA and Michelle (Sean) Garnett of King-of-Prussia, PA and grandchildren, CJ (Heather) Wykoff, Spencer (Emily) Wykoff, Gabby and Emily Bacon, and Skylar and Max Garnett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Alford and her husband, Patrick J Cain.

Andrew Maggio, age 90, of Meadville, PA passed away Saturday December 20, 2025 at Embassy of Park Ave. He was born on August 18, 1935 in Meadville, PA to the late Joseph and Uda (Brescione) Maggio.
Andrew served his country in the US Marine Corps where he received the National Defense Medal. He retired from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a welder. He was a member of the Italian Civic Club and Saegertown American Legion Post 205.
Andrew is survived by his daughter, Nicki Maggio of Meadville, PA and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Connie Learn and Rose Ritter and his brother, Joseph Maggio.
As per Andrew’s wishes there will be no public services. He will be laid to rest at St. Brigid Cemetery.

Michael Jon Call, 87, of Meadville, Pa. Died December 15, 2025, at the Crawford County Care Center. Born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, April 8th, 1938. He was a son of John Henry Call and June Audine McMichael Call. He married Kathleen Anne Steiner, June 19th, 1987. He was previously married to Sally Joan Buckley.
Mike was a 1956 graduate of Bedford High School in Temperance, Michigan. He was a US Navy veteran, serving four years active duty in the Pacific theater, as a radioman Third class Petty officer. He was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Lexington (CVA-16) out of San Diego, California, which participated in two expeditionary forces campaigns with the seventh fleet. After completion of shipboard duty, he was sent to Comnavmarianas Guam,M.I. He was assigned to the flagstaff in the communications and cryptology division and attained a top-secret clearance. He enlisted on January 9th, 1957 at age 18 and received an honorable discharge on January 9th, 1963. He received the Armed forces expeditionary medal, National defense service medal, and Navy good conduct medal.
Mike had been employed at U.S. Bronze Foundry and Machine Inc. for 34 + years as a guard. He previously worked at American Cyanamid in Wallingford, CT. and Cabot Titania in Ashtabula, Ohio, as a chemistry lab tech in the quality control department. Mike was manager and co-owner of Risher Mobile Home Park. He also worked for Wackenhut Security as an armored car guard, in Miami Beach, Florida for 4 years, and also for Pinkerton Security at U.S. Bronze for 5 years.
Mike was of the Protestant Faith, was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 7842 of Linesville PA; National Rifle Association; and Black Ash Sportsman's Club Inc. He was an active member of Vernon Central Hose Co., and was a dedicated donor for the Central Blood Bank. Mike was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Survivors include one daughter, Paula Ann Hyduchak and her husband Michael; Five stepchildren, David A. Handy, James Steiner and his wife Connie, John Steiner, Kelly Steiner, and Tim Steiner. Six grandchildren, Tiffany Harnett and her husband Derek, Alicia Vatter and her husband Dylan, Melissa Steiner, Lauren Hyduchak-Ryan and her husband Mark, Corianne Hyduchak,and Kyleigh Hyduchak-Anderson and her husband Brandon. Three great-grandchildren Selena Harnett, Gavin Harnett, and Barrett Beers. One brother, Ronald K. Call and his wife Carol and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Call; a stepfather Robert J Risher; a stepmother Rhea J Call; and a niece Robin Risher; Brother John H Call Jr.; Stepbrother Lanny Risher; and parents John H Call and June C Risher along with many aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, Service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery at a later date. There will be full military honors after the funeral.

Allene A. (Corner) Hatzel, age 88, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away on Monday December 8, 2025 at MMC after a brief illness. She was born in Meadville, PA on July 20, 1937 to the late William and Esther (Blystone) Ashcraft. She married Harold Corner and subsequently divorced him. She then married Richard Hatzel. He preceded her in death.
Allene graduated from Cochranton High School in 1955. She worked at various places as well as C&J Industries but primarily she was a homemaker.
She was a former member of the Meadville Country Club and the Iroquois Club. She was also a member of the Garden Club of Meadville and she always has the most beautiful gardens.
Allene is survived by her sons, Daniel Corner and his wife, Janice and Douglas H. Corner all of Conneaut Lake, PA; three grandchildren, Maria Corner of Brooklyn, NY, Madeline Corner of Mentor, OH and Macey Kightlinger and her husband, Courtney of Conneaut Lake, PA.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry Ashcraft and Frank Ashcraft.
There will be a private family graveside service at Skeltontown Cemetery in the springtime where she will be laid to rest.

Rhonda M. Frisina, age 62, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2025. She was born on April 16, 1963, in Bennington, VT to the late Dennis and Joan (Mathers) Rousseau. She met her beloved husband, Steven “Dan” Frisina at a NASCAR race at the Poconos and they were married on May 31, 2003. He survives.
Rhonda was employed by Lakeview Ford in Conneaut Lake and formerly Oakland Beach Golf course in Conneaut Lake where she was a longtime bartender. She was also a travel agent for many years, working for several companies and her own. She was also a special needs assistant for Conneaut Lake Elementary and United Community School in Charlotte, NC.
She was a member of Trinity Global Methodist Church in Conneaut Lake where she taught children’s Sunday school for several years. She loved doing crafts with the children and always had a special craft for each of the kids in her class. She was also a member of Conneaut Lake Firehall Station #3. She loved to go in to have her wine with a side of ice and just socialize with anyone who was there.
Rhonda LOVED to travel. She was the master at planning vacations and trips. She took great care in making not only our family vacations special but making the clients that she worked with special as well. She took great care and detail in planning trips and consistently had repeat clients.
She had an infectious personality and could light up a room when she entered it. She treated everyone as a friend. She loved to talk to people and get to know someone. She was a hugger, and every hug Rhonda gave whether it be to family, friends, or someone she just met; every hug was special. Rhonda had the absolute BIGGEST HEART! She loved people!!
Rhonda relied on her faith in God and always reminded her family during tough times asking us “Did you pray on it?” She loved working in the children’s ministries in both Conneaut Lake and Charlotte, NC.
She was a special wife and mother to her family. She would always plan our special times together. She made every holiday special from the food she made to the gifts she gave. She took great pride in taking the time to make everything special. We will miss her prime rib dinner at Christmas time. She loved to sit around a campfire.
In addition to her loving husband of 22 years, Dan, she is survived by her daughter, Erika Dubis; her son, Sabastian Frisina; her grandson, William Rider; her brother, Nicholas Carbonaro and her sisters, Debbie Leeper and Kimberly Harmon. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Todd Carbonaro.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday December 10, 2025 from 3-6 pm at Dickson Funeral Home, 130 N. 2nd St., Conneaut Lake, PA 16316. Karen Peterson, age 79, of Meadville, PA passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 30, 2025. She was born on October 5, 1946 in Meadville, PA to the late James and Iris Andrews. She married Albert Peterson on June 11, 1983. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Karen was a 1965 graduate of Meadville High School. She earned her X-Ray Technician degree in Philadelphia and then worked at Erie Osteopathic Hospital.
She was a member of Watson Run Presbyterian Church, where she was ordained as an elder in 2016. She was also a member of Watson Run Women's Club of Vernon Township. Karen was very involved with church activities, spending time with friends and she loved her pets.
Karen is survived by her nephew, Shawn Washburn of Meadville, PA; her niece, Sharla Buzzard of Conneaut Lake, PA; her great nieces, Shaylan Buzzard of Erie, PA and Shelby Buzzard of Conneaut Lake, PA and her beloved dog, Taffy.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Werneth.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday December 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Watson Run Presbyterian Church, 13594 Harmonsburg Rd., Meadville, PA 16335.

James Douglas Kerr passed away peacefully at his home on November 24, 2025.

Jim was born on January 30, 1950 in Meadville, PA to Willis Evert and Desse Arlene Kerr (Pierce).

He was a proud graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School and a retired union welder with over 35 years with GE.

Jim had a lifelong love of classic Mopar, and spent many happy hours owning, restoring, and showing his car at auto shows. He took great pride in supporting local veteran, civic and community clubs, where he built many lasting friendships.

Jim was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be missed by many. He is survived by his four children: Ronnie Kerr of Portales, NM, Pamela (Clarence) Thomas of Killeen, TX, James Kerr II of Apollo Beach, FL, and Carrie Kerr and her fiancé Robert Bowler of Apollo Beach, FL; his life partner Cindy Manville; five grandchildren: Stephanie (Tim) Nelson, Courtney Thomas, Cassandra (Isaiah) Stearns, Charlie Ann Kerr and her partner Donovan Waters, and Elizabeth Thomas; six great grandchildren: Elora, Jayce, Liam, Clarence, Briella, and Hazel.

He is also survived by his brother John S (Diane) Kerr; his nephews: John (Ainsley) Kerr, and Jerrod Kerr; and cousins: Diane McGil, Jane Peterson, and Betty Jo Ridgeway.

In accordance to Jim’s wishes, In lieu of calling hours, a celebration of life for all friends and family will be held on his birthday 1/30/2026 at the Meadville VFW.

Francis Mason, age 63, of Guys Mills, PA passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on November 26, 2025. He was born on December 8, 1961, in Meadville, PA to the late Francis and Elizabeth Mason. He married Carrie Lilly on February 14, 1996. She survives.
Francis enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. He was his happiest when he was outdoors.
In addition to his beloved wife, Carrie, he is survived by his children, Cory Mason of Clinton, CT, Katie Mason of Ashtabula, OH and Sierra Watterson (Allen) of Guys Mills, PA; his grandchildren, Alex, Thaddeus, Dylan, Lillianna and Thatcher; his sister, Shelley Corder of Meadville, PA and his brother, James Mason of Guys Mills, PA and his four-legged best friend, Gizmo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheyenne Mason.

Adella “Della” Rose (Rogers) Beish passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.
Della was a loving and generous soul who cherished her family and friends. She loved working, playing Bingo and going to the casino.
She leaves behind two sons, Gary Beish and his wife, Ruth of Meadville, PA and Randy Beish and his wife, Mary Anne of Guys Mills, PA and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Della was preceded in death by her parents, Phoebe and George Rogers; her husband, Wayne; her sons, Wayne, David and Tom and several brothers and sisters.
The family sends sincere gratitude to our friends and to the Crawford County Care Center, who went above and beyond to provide excellent care for Della. A special thank you to Jodi Kenny; we could not have done any of this without you.
