Four years ago today, we lost Joel Bruce Snellgrove Jr. Today, we remember the life, legacy, and impact he left behind. 💙🧡

Beyond The Sirens was born from a deep loss — one that still echoes through every life we train and every class we teach.
Joel wasn’t just Tyler’s partner on the truck. He was his brother in this field.

Brilliant, fearless, and the very definition of a HEMS provider, Joel gave everything to this profession.

Joel tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident while serving as a flight paramedic with the University of Florida.
His passion for education, excellence, and pushing the profession forward is part of the reason Beyond The Sirens exists today. Every student we train and every class we teach carries that mission forward.

Every summit we reach is done in his honor.

You are deeply missed, Joel. Your legacy lives on in every medic, nurse, and student we train. 🚁

February is American Heart Month — and at Beyond The Sirens, we want to remind you of something powerful:

You don’t have to wear a uniform to be a first responder.

When cardiac arrest happens, you are the first line of defense. Hands-Only CPR is simple and can save a life:

• Call 911
• Push hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives

Immediate CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival.

You don’t need medical credentials. You need awareness, confidence, and the willingness to step in when it matters most.

We are incredibly grateful to Knucklehead BBQ for their generous contribution and for partnering with Beyond The Sirens. What they’ve done — and continue to do — for this community creates real, measurable impact. When local businesses lead with generosity, everyone wins. We’re honored to stand alongside them.

A huge congratulations as well to Home Sweet Hope on their portion of the give-back checks presented tonight. They are doing powerful work supporting foster families, the children involved, and remodeling visitation centers to create safe, welcoming spaces for families during some of their most vulnerable moments.

We had the privilege of meeting the husband and wife who lead Home Sweet Hope, and their vision and commitment are the real deal. They’re not just talking about change — they’re building it.
